The 2021 World Championships will be held in October.

Here are the results from 2019, who has the best name?

B-Boys

B-Girls

Are the official world championships the ones organized by IDO or by WDSF?

The IOC recognizes WDSF and they were the ones which organized the Youth Olympics events.

So what are the world championships in October? Aren't they organized by IDO?

by the way...

3 years away from that sh*t and we already have a thread with 2 pages of posts! :yikes:

and I'm here, too...:yikes: :yikes: :yikes: :hairpull:

I just can't believe it happened for real...

Although most people are *dreading* the inclusion of this sport at the Olympics, it's kinda a new thing that no one knows exactly how it will work out. So I'm curious too :p

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this Championship will now be held in Paris, France, on 4th December 2021 (via WDSF).

Really? I just saw a date for the world championships. This is what happens when you have competing federations.

I cant believe "this" will be in olympics

The IOC is doing a fanaticism of equal gender and attract the "young" to the olimpism.....

I saw this event in the YOG and even if I don't understand a bit how they do the scores (the same happens to me in artistic swimming or rythmic gymnastics tbh). The russian guy who won gold was amazing. I think this is one of those events you have to watch with an open mind and just enjoy it as an entertainment.

If I'm not mistaken, it's basically a matter of who the judge finds more 'cool', and there aren't really any actual scoring criteria/deductions/etc.

Yes, it's based on metaphysics - body and soul or something like that.

    • Thanks for the amazing work on the spreadsheet. If my eye's read correctly you expect  to get a quota in Sprint (M) canoeing . This will be historic, if time permits could you elaborate a bit please. What are the chances we get to hold on to the quota place ? Is their a risk of missing out? Thanks! I don't follow canoeing much so had a hard time simulating the qualification scenarios. Thanks!

    • Although it was a terrible Olympics for Canada, and my two favourite sports (Hockey and Short Track) really didn't work out for us, there were a couple of fun times.    -Women's Pursuit team winning gold because while it was not unexpected at all, it was still a great triumph against an amazing adversary.    -Dubreuil getting a surprise bronze in speed skating 500m.    -Really all of speed skating, Canada and otherwise.    -I really want to say Dubois getting gold in short track, but the whole thing was a mess.    -The last two ends of the men's curling gold medal game.    -Kingsbury getting gold. But it was more relief than excitement, unfortunately.    -I really like the luge relay. Canada was not involved, unfortunately, but it's always fun to watch.    -Men's freeski big air final was nuts! In all the good ways. That was truly the highest level of competition I've seen in a very long time.    -The dog crossing the finish line in cross country, which should have been the meme of the Olympics (not that...other thing).
