  1. Past hour
  2. only one of them might do it, as in the mixed relay only 1 change between day 1 and day 2 is allowed however, have a 3.20 time that puts them out of reach from any other not yet qualified team actually, their quali has never been in danger (and that's why they didn't put both Klaver and Bol in the women's event, they just chose to easily win the world title in the mixed relay this time)
  3. Today
  4. But seriously, she could easily become a new Aliya Mustafina or a new Rebeca Andrade. I hope she can avoid injuries and make a healthy transition to the senior category.
  5. Elena Colas is a phenomenon ! I hope France doesn't lose her to Algeria as happened with Nemour .
  6. The draw for the Women's Basketball World Cup 2026 Pre Qualifying Tournament has been made. 19-Aug-24 v 21-Aug-24 v 22-Aug-24 v
  7. Didn't realise May Day doesn't exist in Poland, thought it was a universal bank holiday.
  8. No, it's not! It is very important that Africa continues to send gymnasts to international competitions in order to develop the sport on the continent. Take for example, 30 years ago Latin America was a joke in artistic gymnastics. Latin american gymnasts had a mediocre participation in important competitions but currently, after years of competing and gaining international experience, the sport has developed on the continent. Brazil was a world team medalist, Mexico almost qualified a complete women's team for the Olympics. And many other latin american gymnasts were world medalists. Africa must follow the same example as Latin America. Furthermore, if we can't have athletes from all continents competing, it doesn't make sense for the Olympics to be a global event.
  9. Probably the most disappointing missed quota this cycle was with the women's basketball team but perhaps already indications British Basketball are beginning to turn their attention to LA '28. It looks like they are finally putting together a 3x3 program. Martin Dyan has been announced as the new 3x3 programme manager with GB entering the 2024 FIBA Europe Cup and the 2024 U23 Nations League for both men and women. In July, GB women will be competing against Germany and GB men will be against South Sudan in London as part of an event that will also see the US squad competing in the city as part of their Olympic preparation.
  10. As du linshu is competing in 3p as well as air rifle so only option is remaining to exchange that extra qouta with skeet men. In women’s china already have full qouta.
  12. Italy is in very good position to take team qouta. Either need to win European championship or one of from Italy/ind/taipe take qouta from final Olympic qualifier.
  13. I know they’ll probably qualify in Debrecen, but this was a HUGE opportunity wasted to knock out potential medal contender Australia from their only chance at making the Olympics. Which makes this loss even more frustrating, besides the fact that they missed out on an Olympic ticket themselves. Oh well.
  14. Archery European Continental Qualifier: Conor Hall scores 659 to finish qualifying in 7th place. Alex Wise ended up in 8th place with a score of 657. After a bit of a dodgy start, Tom Hall had a better second half, scoring 645 for 21st place (at one point he was down in 44th so this is a pretty good recovery) Alex Wise and Conor Hall are advanced directly to the round of 16. Tom Hall will enter the competition in the round of 32.
  15. Must be because France has broadcasting rights on other platforms.
  16. 19-16 loss to Australia in the final. Again, way too sloppy.
  17. Neznam moguće da je bilo raspucavanja , znam samo da ga nema u finalu :D
  18. The depth of the Dutch team could indeed become a problem for a medal in Paris. Bol and Klaver are exceptionally good, the rest are mediocre (don't get me wrong, in the best sense of the word of course, I don't run those kinds of times from the couch). Although it is a good sign that Cathelijn Peeters improved her PB to 51.09 last week and ran 50.69 during the relay. Those are decent times if you are the third best runner on the team. The problem becomes finding a good fourth. You are only as good as the weakest link. Maybe youngster Myrte van der Schoot? She ran 52.08 in the relay.
  19. Even if they don’t, their time will see them qualify. Still, an interesting sign that the depth that might be needed for a medal in Paris may not be as strong as previously thought
