Not sure why you thought that she would have a better chance over 400 m. She wouldn’t have had a chance to beat Miller-Uibo, Masilingi, Mboma, Naser or Mu. Now that 4 of them are gone, she would have had a better chance, but it will probably still take 49.5 to medal, which is clearly faster than her PB. Over 400 m hurdles she will win a medal if she can repeat a time of 52.5 or faster. Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.
