  2. Valentin Foubert and first points for since the extinction of Dinosaurs Great perf from Koudelka as well. Oh dear, Czech Ski Jumping really needed this one !
  3. Man ! Poland escaped from hell here, scoring a empty-netter to beat for the last European spot. Must feel terrible for the Spaniards though, Never in my dreams would have expected so great effort and resistence from them. 3 minutes to the end they were losing only 5-6 and still very well on the road of first historic qualification, but with that empty-netter to 7-5 very likely did the job and avoided what would have been an unbelievable embarassement
  4. Stage 6 in Seefeld (AUT) Men´s Individual Gundersen Normal Hill (12.5km): 1. Jarl Magnus Riiber 34:39.8 2. Joergen Graabak 35:02.9 3. Stefan Rettenegger 35:17.4 Full Final Result HERE

  12. We will send 8 biathletes to the West coast. Would you believe ?! So we will be able to form all 4 relays. Nice. Hopefully we will be able to finish at least one of them, but sincerely I doubt it. Main goals of the team. Kuzmina qualifying for the Puruit would be something special. Nothing else to be specially excited about, every Top 40 place in Individual events or/and Finished Relay will be a good result for us and definitely something to be satisfied in current state for us... As mentioned earlier Ema Kapustová will not compete and is preparing for the Junior Worlds (just like Jakub Borguľa) Team Slovakia Mens Matej Kazár (Individual & Team Relay) Tomáš Sklenárik (Sprint, Individual, Team, Singles & Mixed Relays) Damián Cesnek (Sprint, Individual,Team & Mixed Relays) Matej Badáň (Sprint & Team Relay) Womens Anastasiya Kuzmina (Sprint, Team & Mixed Relays) Mária Remeňová (Sprint, Individual,Team & Mixed Relays) Zuzana Remeňová (Sprint, Individual,Team, Singles & Mixed Relays) Júlia Machyniaková (Sprint, Individual & Team Relay)

  17. had to beat in the last match by more than 17 goals today to secure the first place in its Qualifying Group and thus automatic Qualification for the World Champs 2024. And it happened. 7th Consecutive Qualification for the Men´s World Championships
  18. The "Sagan-in-Skirt" Viktória Chladoňová took Women´s Junior bronze at the Cyclo-cross World Chapionship. Bronze, One would say meh, but it was the first medal from Cyclo-Cross Wch after 16 years and Peter Sagan silver in 2008 ! Well done Viki !
  19. 3rd time 5th Time a charm... After 4 consecutive Play-Offs Losses won a play-off match and qualify for the first time (under this new format) to the finals. And it was a team including Molčan... go and figure... Molčan the biggest anomaly of world tennis, when playing for himself and money at individual level is just terrible but when he plays for his country for nothing he turn on a sort of unbeatable machine... Anyway. After 4 years of failures in the last step, this time we made it.

  23. Latvian parliament officially approved an amendment banning its national sports teams from competing against Russia and Belarus as a sign of solidarity with Ukraine. The amendment to the law on sports prohibits Ice hockey, football, basketball and other national teams from playing against Russia and its ally Belarus, regardless of whether they compete under their own or a neutral flag. Lawmakers also approved another amendment that prohibits organizers of sports events in Latvia from inviting Russian and Belarusian national teams. The measure was approved by the 100-member parliament with 74 votes, 11 deputies voted against. If Latvian teams find themselves in a position to compete against Russia or Belarus at the 2024 Paris Olympics, they will be banned from doing so under the new law. Many Latvian athletes also already considered boycotting the Olympics if the Russians were allowed to participate. The reigning Olympic 3x3 basketball champions, who are from Latvia, have said their team will not participate in the Paris Olympics if Russian athletes take part. translated from SVK Šport.sk website https://sport.aktuality.sk/ostatne-sporty/clanok/tvrdy-zasah-statu-v-postsovietskej-krajine-sportovci-dostali-zakaz-2024020116003584099
