Mondiali di Qualificazione Olimpica in Olanda, questi i 12 convocati Lo staff della Nazionale ha stilato le convocazioni per i Campionati Mondiali che si disputeranno a ‘s-Hertongebosh, in Olanda, dal 10 al 16 giugno e validi anche per la qualificazione ai Giochi Olimpici di Tokyo 2020. Il Direttore Tecnico Mauro Berruto ha confermato gli azzurri che hanno gareggiato lo scorso anno ai Campionati Europei e nelle ultime tappe di World Cup. Nell’arco ricurvo maschile è stato confermato il trio iridato in carica composto dagli avieri Marco Galiazzo, Mauro Nespoli e David Pasqualucci, mentre tra le donne le giovani azzurre che hanno vinto nel 2017 il titolo mondiale giovanile e che il mese scorso hanno ottenuto il secondo posto in coppa del mondo a Medellin: Tatiana Andreoli (Arcieri Iuvenilia), Lucilla Boari (Fiamme Oro) e Vanessa Landi (Aeronautica Militare). Per gli azzurri la necessità di accedere ai quarti di finale nelle prove a squadre per ottenere alla prima occasione tutti i pass per i Giochi Olimpici in Giappone. Classificandosi tra le prime 8 squadre, sia nel maschile che nel femminile, l'Italia otterrebbe il pass per la gara a squadre, per la gara individuale e anche per la gara mixed team, che farà il suo esordio nel programma dei Giochi a Tokyo. Completa la partecipazione italiana a questa edizione mondiale la formazione del compound composta al maschile con la squadra che ha vinto l’oro a Medellin formata da Sergio Pagni (Arcieri Città di Pescia), Federico Pagnoni (Arcieri Montalcino) e Viviano Mior (Kosmos Rovereto). Il posto di riserva a casa è stato assegnato a Valerio Della Stua (Arcieri Solese). Al femminile vestiranno la maglia azzurra Marcella Tonioli (Arcieri Montalcino), Irene Franchini (Fiamme Azzurre) e Sara Ret (Arcieri Cormons). Lo staff che accompagnerà gli arcieri in Olanda sarà composto dal capo delegazione e vice presidente Federale Sante Spigarelli, dal Direttore Tecnico Mauro Berruto, dal tecnici dell’olimpico Matteo Bisiani e Ilario Di Buò, dal tecnico del compound Flavio Valesella, dai fisioterapisti Andrea Rossi e Ivano Santià, dai preparatori atletici Marco Sesia e Matteo Fissore, dallo psicologo Giuseppe Vercelli e dal medico federale Giorgia Micheletti.
