I believe he made his 'debut' in one of the IndyCar virtual races - one later than planned, because his rig wasn't delivered yet in time for the race in which he had planned to make his debut

Drivers joining in couldn’t see the other cars on track, and as you can imagine, that is a slight issue

I have a running belt with 2 bottles and am considering running with a third one in my hand that I can throw away when I'm done with it.

That sounds better than the 25 degrees but terribly humid of today. My warmup was 3.5km, the first 2.5km of which was in a very easy pace, with a low heart rate, plenty of times I barely break a sweat when running in that relaxed pace (roughly 6:40/km)....now sweat was just pouring down my head non-stop. At least for shorter distances this weather isn't so bad for the muscles.

You know, because real pros have a back-up sim in the same room, just in case.

In terms of graphics and actual race info and such, this is being done so much better than many of the other races I've seen so far these months, absolutely

Oh how I hate when people say that animated movies are meant for kids only and that as soon as you reach a certain age you can't watch them anymore... there's no rule saying that, you can watch whatever the hell you want.

I love this kind of movies, IMO they are much more entertaining than many other genres and there are less chances for me to be disappointed by animated movies than movies from other genres.

My favorite franchise is in fact a trilogy of animated movies (How To Train Your Dragon)

(Also, reminder that Disney-Pixar is not the only studio making animated movies)

Anyway, sorry for the little rant, I'm not used to doing that but needed to get this out of my chest.

So, a horrific story is unfolding in our town at the moment. A black man was found hanging from a tree in a local park this week. That’s honestly just gut-reaching without knowing the circumstances, and you can’t help but feel immediately sad for the victim and his family. I should stress that details around what happened are very much unknown so it could be anything from a suicide attempt to a purposeful lynching. Police are ruled the incident a suicide, however people were quick to point out that doing so means they can bar the media from obtaining information about the incident. That is a little weird, however understandable surrounding a normal case of suicide (which this could very well be). Because I do not know the details surrounding this incident, I’m going to keep my post at that. This is the best objective description of what’s happening in my town that I can give.

Coco might be one of my favorite movies honestly. I’m excited for Soul because the trailer looks really good (I’m thinking early contender for animated film at the Oscars).

Disney has been really hit or miss over the past decade. PIXAR seems to be where all the talent is at the moment.

Wall-E, Incredibles, Finding Nemo, Lion King, and Up are all very much childhood classics to me. I still enjoy them now, even though I watch movies in a much more critical, artistic manner.

PIXAR’s golden age was the early 2000s in my opinion. They then had sort of a lull for decade or so, and then they really came on strong recently with this fresh material.

I wasn’t the biggest fan of Big Hero 6 or Wreck-it-Ralph, but I did enjoy Zootopia. I would still place Coco, Up, and Finding Nemo as my favorites though.

Going from Disney movies to "if you watch things that are not meant for your age, you end up with pedophilae accusations" in a handful of posts is a whole new level right there.

That's not my main issue with the remake of Lion King, personally I'm just not into movies where the characters come across as completely emotionless meat bags

Here are my predictions. If I remember correctly they said an event by event review will be underway. I suspect the sports without gender equality will be the hardest hit.

I suspect of Aquatics: We will lose Artistic swimming. 24 (teams are now 12) of those quotas will be transferred to water polo to get gender equality. That leaves us with a net total of -80 quotas. If that is the route they are going, swimming will not be touched in terms of quotas. Artistic swimming is arguably the only sport where the medalists can be predicted with 100% confidence. It deserves to go.

Athletics: We will likely see an additional women's race walk event, which will get us full parity in terms of events. I think the street events have way too much quotas among them. If we subtract 20 from each and give the new women's event 60, we are left a net reduction of -40. I think an overall reduction of 128 spots is reasonable across the board, in exchange for the extra women's event.

Boxing: I suspect a men's event will be dropped, and two women's added. 18 per category on avg per event = 252 quotas, a net reduction of 34.

Cycling: Transfer of 9 quotas from road to track to get full gender equality. I would imagine the UCI would be asked to introduce 3 person sprint teams like the men, but if not ready for 2024, they can use the 9 spots elsewhere. That leaves 188 spots for road cycling. I do think the IOC will force the road cycling fields to be equal at 94 each. Which is crazy, I'd suspect the UCI will need to reduce the max per NOC

Football: I think the men's tournament should be 12 teams (after all its not a full strength tournament) and match all other team sports on the program. = Net reduction of 72

Golf: This is not the top competition in the sport. Reduction of 54 to each field. Net reduction of 12

Gymnastics:I don't think anything will happen here. Rhythmic gets the women to equal amount of events as the men, and I don't think you can introduce new apparatus for women in artistic. Unlike Artistic swimming, the field is much more competitive.

Sailing: The total quota of 350 seems bloated to me. Reduction of 2 boats per event  on avg =30 quotas.

Tennis: Same story as golf. 82 per gender (basically removing 4 per singles) would do the trick. Net reduction of 8.

Wrestling: I really don't know what will happen here. TBH I don't think anything will happen. The IOC has stated they will aim for gender equality where possible. Its just not possible to add women's greco-roman to a games 4 years away. The sport got a quota cut in 2020 and highly doubt it will happen for 2024 too. Coincidentally, the extra 96 spots women get would be offset here by the 96 extra spots the men get in greco-roman wrestling.

So by my calculations that would equal a full gender equal games.

We need 364 quotas removed among the core sports (and not a lot of IF's getting affected):

    Aquatics -80
    Athletics -128
    Boxing -34
    Golf -12
    Football -72
    Sailing -30
    Tennis -8

    =364
