  1. It’d be hard to just stumble back into an EPO injection
  2. Then you should be disqualified for not giving your best, and should feel shame as an athlete according to the points you’ve made today. That’s a pretty hypocritical point to be making. 1st-3rd matter, but nothing else does.
  3. Well in my case points for a Championships and advance to the state championship were on the line. You’ve all already complained about them shortening the race, and how it’s not a true Olympic distance triathlon then. You’ve kind of defeated your point about ranking points then. Also, again, use photo finish technology to separate the two if it’s that important.
  4. So athletes don't decide who places where now. I mean I know in sports like Badminton that’s normal because most of the elite federations have already paid off officials, but not in triathlon. They did compete to win, and they won together as teammates and countrywomen. I’ve already clarified that it would be more difficult of a situation at the Olympics, but not really since they could use photo finish technology to choose a real winner. would still get Gold and Silver either way. I’m not saying the rules should or shouldn’t just apply for one event. I’m just saying that while they broke the rule it wasn’t with malicious intent.
  5. Fair and true. Have ever knowing that winning isn’t everything is also very honorable. Sometimes it’s worth living in the moment with your teammates. This is really hitting home as cross country runner. It’s almost like your attacking a huge part of me. I’ve aided teammates in arguably more illegal ways and people didn’t care because they understood that I was sacrificing my race and result from my team, or in the Brits case, their country. Both of these athletes went for the best result for . They both obtained that result and choose to share the moment for their country. It wasn’t at the Olympics, World Championships, or other multi-sports games, so it’s not a big deal since medals aren’t involved.
  6. @bestmen Would be possible to get an English translation of this:
  7. I mean quite it just comes down to discrimination, discrediting, and failing to acknowledge a unique nature of endurance events. I have ZERO problem with they did. I’ve helped athletes cross the finish in multiple races. I’ve let racers pass me instead of giving it my all to block them. It’s a question honor and humblity. There’s a big difference between fixing a result for payment, sponsorship, or better ranking, but that’s just simply not the case here.
  8. Well, yes, if that’s the case it’s a dumb rule, but at least I understand the ITU’s position then.
  9. True. We should definitely talk about fixing because it is a serious problem. I don’t think this case was against the principles of sportsmanship. Both had given there all, and as teammates, decided to share the win. In reality would have gotten first and second either way. What they did is not cheating in my eyes. I see it as an act of sportsmanship acknowledging each other’s shared achievement.
  10. I never said it has to due with one’s nationality. I was just citing random examples. I’m not the one making a mountain out of a mole hill and throwing around baseless accusations of cheating.
  11. Yeah, unless your in Dorset or Dover, or whatever town is close to those British’s cliffs, or in Northern California I don’t think that’s true. I’d never make Climbing a Beach sport. It’s definitely more of an urban sport.
  12. I quite like the laser run . I think it’s a good innovative format.
  13. Because Climbing gyms where you can Boulder are very much a big city thing in the US.
  14. Well being a white supremacist is the worst part about him. These comments are inexcusable too. He’s said a lot of dumb shit over time though, so it’d be really sad if he gets relected in 2020. (He will be the way, he represents a good 35% of country which is just shameful and sad. Plus, I mean he lives in South so it’s a given.)
  15. If it is, I might watch. He was fun to watch at the 2018 Commonwealth Games last year. He was able to stick with quite a few of the Brits, Kiwis, and Aussies
  16. I guess it just doesn’t seem that big of a deal to me. would have won the race either way. Plus, as I said, they could have used the photo finish technology to determine the winner. Give each girl a small fine and stern warning. Also, publish a press release that says the next athletes to do this will get DSQ’d. I’ve seen people in multiple sports get slaps on the wrists for way worse rule breaks. Also, from an Endurance athletes point-of-view. These races are taxing. It’s nice to have someone to celebrate with at the end. Yes, could have finished and then embraced each other. Instead they choose to celebrate a shared achievement. I’ve seen distance runners and cyclists do this all the time. There is huge comradeship amongst endurance athletes, especially amongst teammates, because generally there the only ones around to support you. Endurance sports to draw many spectators until the elite level, so it’s understandable to me for someone to want to share a victory with someone the most likely train with quite often. There are much worse things to worry about in sports than two athletes sharing an athletic achievement. I think their finish shows class. I don't want to hear this match fixing crap from users either. Don’t act like Dutch, Croatian, and Indian athletes haven’t ever “fixed” results themselves.
  17. If anyone wants a nice prize and tickets to a huge summer event in Oberhof:
  18. Because Bouldering was put in the Beach Games, though it think Speed and Boulder should have been added here.
  19. The G appears the same way is GAISF logo, which is why it appears that way here too.
  20. Because I can only do it if I go down to “24 Hour Fitness”, which is a g filled with rich white city folk and millennials
  21. I didn’t get those vibes at all. Yes, they should have just finished race as individuals. I think the DSQ was a bit much. Let them have the moment and just use the photo finish to separate them, and give them a warning.
  22. Yeah, Steve King needs to go. He’s said much worse things than this.
  23. I swear I saw a qualification document that saw otherwise. Wikipedia agrees with me on this one. I will admit that I have nothing to back my claim, but that I’m 80% sure this is the case. I’ll try to make a media inquiry with the WKF tomorrow, and see if they’re willingly to clear the situation up.
