What event? I didn’t see them win a judo medal, and I checked every catagory.

Well I’m going to need to know what the hell kinball is now. My high school didn’t have to really have a Physical Education program because we were private. However in middle school we’d set up table tennis and play using the church tables. A love of table tennis is probably the one good thing Catholic school and the Catholic faith gave me (Plus none of the priest tried to sexually abuse me, so I got lucky there). My middle school actually had a one-day multi-sports games every year . It would involve and Mixed 4x400m-ish, Egg and spoon relay, limbo, standing long jump, obstacle course, water bollon toss, and a few other team events/relays. It was always my favorite day every year. Besides that most of the sports I participate in, I’ve largely had to train without a coach. I’m the only roller speed skater in my area. Most of the cyclists around here are mountain bikers. I have to drive 50 miles to my climbing gym. I do own my table tennis table though, so I have gotten recreationally good at that .

@thepharoah and @bestmen. Where are you guys watching the games, what channel? I’ve found it impossible to find any information about Broadcasting. Yes, I known you’ve shared that link to the moroccan channel, but I’ve been checking whenever stuff should be on and they aren’t broadcasting the African Games. It’s also hard for me because I don’t speak Arabic, and google translate isn’t the greatest at Arabic. I’d really like to watch, but I just can’t find anything yet (besides the crappy stream I shared earlier)

Yeah Medeo was a cool venue too. They’d have to put a roof on it because it snows to much. The Almaty ski jumping center is very nice as well.

You and @bestmen have shared this with me, but I’ve yet to see a single live event from them. Am I not checking the right spot or what? Have they not started streaming yet? I’m so confused.

Yeah, it might be my favorite venue outside the major World Cup ones. I’m kind of sad they didn’t get the 2022 Winter Olympics (especially since Kazakh sport is doing well right now)

They improved from the last world championship while Argentina and the United States faltered. Chile wasn’t bad, I was impressed by both them and Italy. Right now I’d say the top tier is Germany, Austria, Brazil, and Switzerland. Second tier is Italy, Chile, Argentina. Third tier is Namibia, Czech Rpublic, United States, New Zealand. I believe there’s a strong chance Italy has qualified a team for the World Games as well

Yeah I liked the names too. Reminds me of the nicknames for the different age groups of youth athletics. The hat is about as Australian as biathlon will ever get. I was also marveling at the trees around Hotham. It’s like that at the Aussie ski resorts too. It’s a really unique environment (I’d cool if the YOG went down there) that makes the Hotham course special amongst biathlon venues. The trees actually remind me a bit of the large shrubs and bushes at Weber (Park City) biathlon venue and Almaty biathlon center.

I’ll write my thoughts into my finals summary later today on Totallympics Media. I will talk about 2021 World Games qualification now. I do not have the qualification document or rules because they have not been published yet. However, I can hypothesize what teams we’ll see in Birmingham based off previous qualification methods. Now this is where it gets tricky. At the 2017 World Games, the top 6 teams at the 2015 World Championships qualified. However, Poland didn’t participate, so I’m not sure about the rules regarding host country qualification (with regards to the 10th place team). Also, I’m not sure if continental qualification is thing (with regards to ). So below I’ll post how I think it will go. If the qualification system from the last games is used: If the qualification system includes automatic spot for host, but is still based off top 5 at world championships: If the Namibia performed well enough to earn a potential continental spot: or or or No matter what the qualification system is. I’m certain the following teams will be in Birmingham

Damn, 20 second ippon in a gold medal match. That’s definitely not something that’s seen often.

I’d still say it’s been a good showing from Algeria if that’s the case. I’ve yet to see a final that hasn’t included an Algerian.
