I think it´s open, most top doubles players don´t play together with their countrywomen on tour, so they should be in the mix. There are a lot of single players who could go far, like Sabalenka/Azarenka or Barty/Stosur.

Zeballos/González and Zeballos/Podoroska will be in the mix too.

not sure Burkina Faso is in that list?

if they are,  Fabrice Zango is the most likely to win a medal (athletics, men's triple jump)...

and i think there will be a first medal for "Olympic Athletes from a Country Which Name Cannot Be Officially Mentioned in Tokyo, But We IOC Members Really Liked To Party Hard In The Nights In Sochi. So Hard That We Didn't Care If The Urine Samples Were Safe Or Not" Team I guess,

That was a tricky question hah

    I understand your point...

I'm an anxious man by myself, but I also hope that by this summer the situation won't be as bad as it looks right now...the good season in the Northern Hemisphere, a good number of people being vaccinated around the Globe...we gotta be at least a bit optimistic to survive this sh*t...

Tbh it's better for everyone, especially that in recent weeks cases rise everywhere. Let's hope that in this year at least one sport event will be with even 30-40% attedance.

rafalgorka reacted to CCB in Winter Olympic Games Beijing 2022 - Day by Day as it could have happened
Oh wow, I'm not thinking about the Peking Games at all. First Tokio (or not).
But in the Women's 3000 meter there's one clear favourite for me: Martina Sablikova from Czech Republic. For the Dutch Antoinette de Jong is the best we have. Reigning 3000 meter Olympic Champion Carlijn Achtereekte didn't even qualify for this year's World Championships and former 3000 meter Olympic champion Ireen Wüst decided not to skate this distance anymore.

Tips: Martina Sablikova  , Antoinette de Jong  , Isabel Weidemann  , Natalia Voronina  and of course Miho Takagi  . Takagi could win medals on 5 distances (500, 1000, 1500, 3000, team pursuit).

Shorttrack mixed gender relay:  should have a promising team with Suzanne Schulting as our big star. But favourites are  and South Korea.

Medals obtained by Nations only in Olympic Events, considering only the 2021 World Championships for each Sport.
Medals obtained by Nations without a recognized Olympic Committee (Scotland, Faroe Islands, etc.) will be assigned to the Nation for which they will compete for at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games (if Scotland wins a medal in Men's Curling WCF World Championship, then that medal will be assigned to Great Britain etc.)
Some World Championships allow Athletes from different Nations to compete as a Pair or Doubles Team. This is not possible at the Olympic Games, so in case a mixed team win a World Championships medal, half medal will be awarded to each Nation.
Some sports do not have a proper World Championship and some events have a World Championship format which is different to the Olympic format. In order to consider every single Olympic event in the Medal Count, the World Championships medals for these events will be awarded as follows:
