  1. Well I'll be damned
  2. That's surprisingly untrue I've noticed
  3. Plus this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_CARIFTA_Games 19.93....in the under-20 category.
  4. Well yeah, I really don't think anyone who seriously is into athletics thinks Carl Lewis of all people was clean, do they?
  5. That explains why he was always riding for those small Italian teams then
  6. To be fair, it's not like he was ever anywhere near World Tour level...I watch way too much cycling and I only know him because he was the lone Albanian in the peloton I'm guessing he grew to speak some excellent Italian while riding for those teams like Wilier Trestina?
  7. That's surprisingly close to that other awesome movie taking place in Slovakia
  8. I had no idea he was from there indeed I guess his name sounds too Italian for me to recognize that - unlike of course Jannik Sinner which I thought for a while was a German - and I generally don't really search where people are from
  9. Cool that my complaints made you hooked by the way, sorry
  10. I know right, if we'd celebrate every 5000th post with a book we'd spend half our lives writing.
  11. Apparently there was some ruckus about people talking about some singer from the 1930's (who had a clear stance against racism judging by her own words) who recorded two now controversial songs, including a clearly satirical one that was also popularized by an African-American singer. Here's some random weirdos yelling at each other and calling it a discussion even though they're not actually discussing:
  12. Yep, fans like you and me, actual athletes themselves, this dude isn't getting much love
  13. I hope so, a Süd-Tirol tennis player at the top level
  14. What's the definition of NextGen? I thought that was the group of Zverev, Tsitsipas, Chung etc
  15. I'd find it funny if Berrettini (never heard of the guy before this year I think) comes and wins a Slam before any of those hyped "NextGen" guys
  16. Let's see when he plays against Nadal
  17. Neither is British politics. Oh wait..
  18. Yeah he just kept going on and on All thanks to sushi.... He was of course nowhere near being a favourite so instead of some top preparation, he went to eat sushi on his arrival there....and then won the first match! Well, obviously now he had to eat sushi every day until he lost...and since that only happened in the final, he had been eating sushi for 17 straight days "At some point I didn't even like it anymore" On a certain Dutch forum, he is the number one cult hero in tennis
  19. I can see the influence of all the comedy you've been watching, this is a good one!
  20. The year before was much nicer
  21. Roland Garros 2004...which by the way was already the 9th consecutive Grand Slam appearance of Feliciano Lopez, who has still not missed a single Grand Slam ever since
  22. Too bad the fun reputation descriptions when hovering the mouse over the medals has been changed for something so 'cold'
  23. When does one become Grand Master?
