  1. It'd be weird anyway to give that to a team in a sport where almost all of the world's best players were watching the competitions at home
  2. This seems like an award with a rather limited potential base of winners
  3. Shaun White and Arianna Fontana apparently, although I'm having a hard time to remember what they won (well it must be Olympic gold and in White's case I guess at least in the halfpipe). https://www.insidethegames.biz/articles/1072748/white-and-fontana-among-pyeongchang-2018-stars-honoured-as-unified-korean-ice-hockey-team-win-at-2018-anoc-awards
  4. It doesn't have to be overwhelming What are they, afraid anyone will know Liechtenstein exists?
  5. Fantastic, and the one where it actually is about (Vaduz itself) voted in favour....
  6. Looks like a good rival for the Brazilian men
  7. Apparently his Wikipedia page was already in my history I guess I clicked on his name when I went and see how many Qatari play in Qatar's team
  8. Maybe there's some local TV station or something, but I've never seen it. I can somewhat imagine this happening in Norway or Sweden (though I doubt it), I've never seen any other TV crew than IBU's small one (or a screen with live images instead of just the standings) at the IBU Cups in Martell, Lenzerheide, Obertilliach or Arber.
  9. No, IBU Cup is only shown in highlight videos on the competition days.
  10. I'm watching the Sjusjoen men's sprint of last weekend, dominated by JTB. But in 24th place I see...yeah, Dag Sander Bjorndalen! The 48-year old brother of youknowwho, team world champion in 1995, who apparently is still active Edit: never mind, it's probably more realistic that this is the 20-year old with the exact same name.
  11. I had missed that, awesome Ukaleq Slettemark is not competing with/against her mom, but at least her dad is present
  12. Hello, you guys might be interested (or not ) that Milanko Petrovic, 2013 Universiade gold (and silver) medalist in biathlon, is back. His last competition was the Sochi Olympics in 2014, but now he's on the startlist for tomorrow's IBU Cup https://ibu.blob.core.windows.net/docs/1819/BT/SIBU/CP01/SMSP/BT_C51A_1.0.pdf
  13. Start lists https://ibu.blob.core.windows.net/docs/1819/BT/SIBU/CP01/SMSP/BT_C51A_1.0.pdf Roland Lessing and Daniel Mesotitsch representing the 40+ club. And cool to see Milanko Petrovic is back, Sochi 2014 was his last competition
  14. The Klippan Logo, you only have to put it together with exactly not enough screws and you're ready to go
  15. At 18:00 we have the draws for the sprint, so probably around 19:00 CET the start lists will be online

  18. Judging by the range allocation documents, Greenland is present Some other small nations too of course, but nothing too exotic. I think Idre is being skipped by quite a few of these small teams because the travel to Sweden for an IBU Cup that includes a pursuit competition (which it shouldn't) is just not worth it. It has two sprints though, but most likely most 'exotic' teams will have a heavy focus on the 2nd trimester when travel + program fits much better.
  19. FC Porto and Schalke really are the only realistic 'average' opponents by the looks of it, so that's gonna be tough
  20. Stephen Hillenburg, the creator of SpongeBob SquarePants, has died aged 57 (ALS). Don't go to his Wikipedia page, some moron editted it and put up a huge goatse picture which is now the very first thing you see. You have been warned.
