  1. Women's Kumite +68kg Gold Medal Bout: Eleni Chatziliadou (GRE) vs Anne Laure Florentin (FRA) Bronze Medal Bouts: Laura Palacio Gonzalez (ESP) vs Andriana Vicovac (SRB) & Anamarija Celan Bujas (CRO) vs Dragana Konjevic (MNE) Women's Kumite -68kg Gold Medal Bout: Elena Quirici (SUI) vs Irina Zaretska (AZE) Bronze Medal Bouts: Silvia Semeraro (ITA) vs Cristina Vizcaino Gonzalez (ESP) & Angela Mojsovska (MKD) vs Ivona Cavar (BIH)
  2. so, men's -58kg and women's -46kg seem to remain a full mystery (the only thing Iknow is the Dutch Langeroudi being in the semifinals thanks to a victory over Corelli of Italy in the smallest women's category)... meanwhile we know the finals of the other 2 classes: Men's -54kg Adrian Vicente (ESP) vs Magomed Gagiev (RUS) Vito Dell'Aquila (ITA) and Deniz Dagdelen (TUR) won the Bronze Medal Women's -49kg Kristina Tomic (CRO) vs Natalia Antipenko (RUS) Patimat Abakarova (AZE) and Yasmina Aziez (FRA) won the Bronze Medal p.s. you can find the video of the semifinal between Antipenko and Aziez on the French Federation's Facebook page (and it looks that the Russian win isn't that clear, as often happens in the combat sports, especially when the Russians play at home)...
  3. yes, it's the Russian Channel Match!TV you can find many links to streaming and IPTV for that channel (unfortunately most of them being really poor in terms of picture quality)...
  4. so, it was actually a successful Italian appeal against the result of the quarterfinal bout between Martina and Mamayev... therefore, the following semifinal bout between the Azeri and the Portuguese Hernandez was cancelled and a new one between Martina and Hernandez took place... and finally, the Portuguese lost once again...so, it's Martina that goes through to the Gold Medal final...
  5. the live scoring system must have gone crazy... in the men's -84kg the semifinals were already completed, when the table draw went back to the quarterfinal between Martina and Mamayev and signaled that the final score of that bout has been overturned to 2-1 for the Italian... I just don't understand how it's possible (and if there's a chance of a successful appeal, why the Azeri has already played his semifinal bout against the Portugese? now this guy would be enormously in disadvantage if he has to repeat his effort against a new opponent)... let's see how this story develops (and in any case, such a mess at the European Champs is definitely not a good advertising for the sport)...
  6. I just can't believe it! Dell'Aquila (ITA) was comfortably leading 36-18 his semifinal bout in the men's -54kg class against the Spaniard Vicente and lost because of the 10th warning with only 14 seconds to go! how stupid must someone be to take such kind of a risk???
  7. Men's Kumite +84kg Gold Medal Bout: Shahin Atamov (AZE) vs Ivan Klepic (BIH) Bronze Medal Bouts: Babacar Seck Sakho (ESP) vs Tyron-Darnell Lardy (NED) & Gogita Arkania (GEO) vs Jonathan Horne (GER) Shameful performance by the defendig champion Simone Marino (ITA), who lost in round #1 against the unknown Tanel Paabo from Estonia... he's just having an awful season...and probably he's going to compromise his chances to earn a direct spot through the World Ranking for Tokyo 2020... Men's Kumite -84kg Gold Medal Bout: Ivan Kvesic (CRO) vs Michele Martina (ITA) Bronze Medal Bouts: Valerii Chobotar (UKR) vs Ugur Aktas (TUR) & Helio Hernandez (POR) vs Aykhan Mamayev (AZE) Unlucky result here for Italy, with Michele Martina losing in the quarterfinals against Mamayev (AZE) only because of the Hantei from the Ref and the Judges (he was 2-0 head and let the Azeri recover in the final seconds of the bout)... at least he should have a chance for the repechage, if the Azeri goes through to the final... EDIT: see what happened in the following couple of posts...
  8. Langeroudi (NED) is the first girl to qualify for the semis in the women's -46kg class...she defeated Martina Corelli (ITA) 22-20 in a very close fight...
  9. first medallists... Men's -54kg Semifinals: ITA vs ESP & RUS vs TUR Women's -49kg Semifinals: CRO vs AZE & RUS vs FRA
  10. and we have the first results... Women's Individual Kata Gold Medal Bout: Viviana Bottaro (ITA) vs Sandra Sanchez Jaime (ESP) Bronze Medal Bouts: Veronika Miskova (CZE) vs Dorota Balciarova (SVK) & Alexandra Feracci (FRA) vs Dilara Eltemur (TUR) Men's Individual Kata Gold Medal Bout: Damian Hugo Quintero Capdevila (ESP) vs Alì Sofuoglu (TUR) Bronze Medal Bouts: Mattia Busato (ITA) vs Ilja Smorguner (GER) & Mehman Rzaev (RUS) vs Roman Heydarov (AZE) good but not so good start for Italy...unfortunately Busato had to face the super-favourite Quintero already in the semifinal bout, so he couldn't get to the gold medal final... in any case, as expected, here Spain are dominating the field...
  11. it was expected... still, despite I'm with Serbia all the time in the Kosovo dispute, I don't like when politics invade so strongly the sport's events...
  12. not really updated...all the matches of round #1 of the women's -46kg (I know that Corelli, ITA beat Laguna, ESP by a score of 11-5) and of the men's -58kg (Flecca, ITA has lost his bout against Anushkevich, BLR) have already been completed... and they still show a wrong timetable for that...
  13. good afternoon for my prediction contest... let's see if tonight's gonna be even better...
  14. draws and results should be found here: https://wkf.net/continental-championships-main/ekf-senior/ meanwhile here are the official schedule of the finals and the live streaming access page (registration is needed, but it's absolutely free): https://karateworld.tv/live/53rd-european-senior-karate-championship-novi-sad,-serbia
  15. schedule, draws and results will be found here: http://centrvostok.wtf-vao.ru/sobytiya/mirovye-sobytiya/741-european-taekwondo-senior-championships-2018-russian-of-kazan some very bad news... http://en.mastkd.com/2018/04/kazan-2018-will-not-be-broadcast/
  17. p.s. with Germany's loss and tonight's results my prediction contest is getting worse and worse...
  18. finally, in today's game of the day things have been better than the forst period made me think, also thanks to an unusually undisciplined Swedish team...however, in the end they still managed to take the 3 points home... @hckosice I'm sorry, my friend...I really fear that earlier you were right...SVK are not looking good at all...they're surely still paying the prize of last night's effort against the Czechs...SUI are leading safely without even being so impressive... I think this game would need a good shock to make it more exciting in the final minutes...
  19. for Italy it's been a wonderful tournament in Greco-Roman with the absolutely unexpected medal by Jacopo Sandron (20 years young, his birthday exactly on the first day of his competition)... on the other hand, it's been a good but not exceptional tournament in men's Freestyle because of the stupid semifinal's loss by Frank Chamizo (meanwhile Kudiiamagomedov has been fantastic, losing only to the eventual gold medal winner Naifonov by a score of 7-6 after having been 6-2 ahead with less than a minute still to go...Conyedo instead should be watched carefully at least another time before a proper judging...this time he's been not as good as expected, though)... the women's side...well, better not to write anything...they just had a shameful and insignificant participation...

  23. meh...awful games earlier today...I really hate those blowouts (even if they were very predictable...I missed both those games by just 1 goal each...I had +8 for RUS and +9 for CAN...I got so close )... and also the game of the day (SWE vs CZE) is quite disappointing so far...it looks that the Czechs haven't physically nor mentally recovered from last night's battle against SVK and they're not giving SWE a hard time at all...
