  14. in the same race, Catalin Tecuceanu was 2nd in 1.44.01 (new PB), which is the best European mark so far always in Asti, Leonardo Fabbri went 22.91m in the men's Shot Put, just 4cm shy of his recent National record (and WL)

  18. there's a 2-man jury that looks at the match while it's happening...if a ref does something wrong, they can overturn his decision but it rerely happens, normally they don't like to embarass their collegues (like the VAR officials in football) yeah, Today the decisive scores against Tavano and Pirelli were both absolutely out of the rules, but I've seen a lot worse than that... sometimes you just have to live/survive in a hostile environment not all refs and video-judges are at the same level... and some of them are always biased against some Countries (at the moment, the worse that can happen to the Italians is having Nutsubidze or Babiuc as refs...luckily it looks that we don't have to cope with that infamous Mongolian lady anymore -I'm just forgetting her name right now- she was really an enemy of the Italian people beyond any reason)...that's the only thing that should be checked by IJF asap
  19. meanwhile, is on fire @Josh Elnahas beat Reyes in the semifinal match, they both play for the medals (actually, Elnahas plays for Gold)
  20. ps if I look at the men's -100kg, I get heavily depressed... what a chance Pirelli missed Today!
  21. Tavano already lost to the Korean recently...I hope she wins it, but it's not gonna be a walk in the park however, women: 6x top 8 finish, 4 different weights at least in the semifinals, 3 gold medal matches (only 1 gold, but you can't always have it all) men: twice 5th place (and only 1 going to the semis) I'm done, your Honor
  22. you can disagree as much as you like, but nobody would make me change my mind...he's by far the most skilled guy in that class anything but gold, it would be a disappointing result in Paris don't forget that he's one of the only 2 fighters that could beat Abe since 2019 -and he did it on the mat, actually scoring twice on him- when he also was in the 66kg class (just to say how technically gifted is he)
  23. oh, c'mon! he didn't lose to Stump...he was victim of a safety rule, but it's not that the Swiss did any damage to him, technically speaking it was a fluke, as there's one in the world Heydarov is a good boy, but he's not even close to Lombardo in terms of technical skills as I wrote, in Judo you can always lose because of a detail gone wrong, but it doesn't mean that you're worse than someone who just beat you p.s. don't forget that Lombardo has had already many troubles with injuries and in the past couple of years he has competed very few times compared to his main rivals...rankings just reflect this
  24. obviously she's nopt anymore on top of her game, but, as I wrote, I was disappointed by how she lost to ahiè, I knew she was going to lose, but not like a beginner as she did Today then, I didn't expect her to lose vs Taimazova the way she did...in this case, she had the fight under control and made another stupid mistake I never saw her doing in the past (and not even at the Europeans or in Astana 2 weeks ago) that's disappointing, not the placing in itself I hope she'll do better in Paris (if she has a good draw...not being seeded, she might even get Gahiè in round 1 and...good night!)
  25. I don't get how they forgot to put in that list this one... Monkfish with sliced potatoes, cherry tomatos and olives (but you can do it also with artichoke and olives, also so tasty )
