  1. tbh, I always dreamed of a coverage like we had in Tokyo... OK, Discovery messed up quite a few things, but having all the streams (in good quality, even if I missed the 4K a lot) of all the events live and on demand was priceless. for the first time ever, I could really choose what to watch and when...I only hope that next time round they will keep the Olympic streams available on the apps for connected devices a bit longer, so to easily get all the things I had to skip in the 2 Olympic weeks because of the lack of time. and OK, it's behind a paywall, but it's an extremely cheap wall, that 99% of people can easily afford without any regret. therefore I'm more than happy of this new deal between WB-D and the IOC.
  2. it's about a personal achievement of one of the GOAT in an Olympic sport (but outside the Olympic Games). I hope this isn't too much...
  3. by the way, this is the official news about the new Pan-European deal beatween WB Discovery & EBU and the IOC https://olympics.com/ioc/news/ioc-awards-exclusive-2026-2032-olympic-games-media-rights-in-europe
  4. luckily, the British medal chances will be a lot less in the near future...so, you won't miss much in that department...
  5. mi sa che serve un intero trapianto di cervello...
  6. Athletics, men's 4*400m Relay...no brainer, the USA are miles ahead in this game. Athletics, women's 4*400m Relay...this might be a lot closer, but since I refuse to vote for that bunch of doping cheaters from and , the only option remaining is to pick the USA (and I do it only for Allyson Felix and Sydney McLaughlin, because if I look at the past...). Swimming, men's 4*200m Freestyle...despite the amazing streak of American triumphs, in this case my pick is Great Britain, because their 2020 team was really amazing, a machine built at state-of-the-art and working perfectly. Swimming, women's 4*200m Freestyle...once again, my pick is the last team winning the event, China, because it was such a huge surprise and also in this case it was a perfectly built team with a clear strategy, overcoming any possible individual weakness of their members. that's how a 4*200m Free Relay should work all the times. p.s. by the way, this vote would be very different if any other competition was included, because the 2022 Australian team has gone way beyond imagination in this specific event. Diving, men's 10m Synchronized Platform...here any Chinese loss should be considered just an accident, it's impossible not to pick China.
  7. Final Medal Table 6 / 3 / 1 2 / 3 / 0 1 / 1 / 3 0 / 1 / 1 0 / 1 / 1 0 / 0 / 1 0 / 0 / 1 0 / 0 / 1

  12. triumphant day for the Italian Foil, with both teams back on top of the podium in the most prestigious world cup tournament of the year. fun fact, both the women and the men's events have the same 3 Nations in the top 3 places...and in both cases, Italy had to win a super-tough battle against Japan in the semifinals (tougher than the GMM). in the Sabre Grand Prix event, finally the great Olga Kharlan is back on the podium. very good silver medal also for the Tokyo Olympic silver medallist Samele in the men's tournament.

  17. yeah, that was really bad attitude... however, I can understand his frustration (I hope he'll learn the lesson, at least)...Berzins was just targeting all the people in the race...maybe the Latvian thought it was rollerball and not short track speedskating... the relay, just bad luck
  18. yeah, I saw some highlights from Friday and Yesterday (not yet Today, I'm too busy with Alpine Skiing, Biathlon, Short Track Speedskating, American Football and Fencing ). these events are always nice...
  19. yeah, but with the new qualification rules for Paris 2024, the World Cup isn't really so competitive as it was before. many big names are missing and also those who are in Rabat, they're not in very good shape yet (it's so early in the season). everything was definitely more interesting when direct Olympic Quota Places were up for grabs in any WC stage. p.s. Mehelba however looks in great shape...hope he can keep it through the whole season...

  21. yeah... but my first one was really easy, too... so, the new one is going to be a little more complicated (for the majority of the Totallympians, but not for all of them).
  22. by the way, that's easy... Kevin Meyer's World Decathlon Record
  23. just my 2 cents... we should try to make the new number to be guessed a bit more evident (bigger size of the font, maybe even in bold). it's my proposal from now on for all those who are going to post their "challenge".
