Viktor Tyumenev, USSR´s Sarajevo 1984 Olympic Champion and 3 times World Champion 1982, 1986 and 1990 in Ice Hockey passed away yesterday at 61. For long years he played in Finland, after returning home he played for Spartak Moscow and the Krylya Sovietov Moscow, he finished his career in the 1997/98 season as a player of CSKA Moscow.

Basically I waved a Russian flag at the Opening Ceremony and everyone wanted to know why, considering I’m American-Czech. It was all very funny.

That price tag includes building the whole city, though.  They were also building resorts, an F1 track and preparing for the arrival of a KHL team.  This is why adding up the costs of the Olympics is always so difficult, because a lot of these projects sometimes would have been done anyway (i.e. new highways or train lines, like the KTX to the east coast in Korea).  I do agree that people didn't want to host the Olympics after seeing these price tags, but it's really short sighted.  It's like saying, "I'm never buying a house because my sister bought one for a million dollars and I don't have a million dollars!"  Maybe you should buy a house, maybe you shouldn't.  But you don't have to buy a million dollar house to be a home owner.

Empty arenas, bad schedule and weather, lack of excitement and passion, hockey without NHL, the transformation in x-games, and most importantly - a very nervous and difficult atmosphere. Too much negativity. Such this Olympics will remain in history.

Randomly meeting like 5 exotic athletes

Disappointments:
Opening ceremony- so freezing
Buses- not enough in times of high demand, often waited an hour
That I barely caught Ledecka’s medal ceremony (I ran in as the anthem was playing)
The lack of atmosphere at some events 
Struggling to understand volunteers 
That I couldn’t resell tickets because I’m not Korean

Biathlon hurts, but when your hobby is to rupture your meniscus, I guess the pain of skiing doesn't frighten you at all.

I know that all depends on my personal state of mind, which is no longer the same that once was...
 
but I voted "BAD" also for a series of things strictly connected with the Games themselves...first of all, the awful scheduling (and the "uncomfortable" TV coverage here in Italy)...absolutely the worst ever...then a series of controversies (started well before the Olympics with the "Russian saga", and continued in Pyeongchang with judging scandals, competitions held in unfair conditions, depressing environment in many sports and so on) completed my not so enjoyed and enjoyable Olympics...
 
I never thought I'd have said just a few minutes after watching the last event: "I'm happy that's all over"...but this time it really happened...

Congrats to Germany who wrote new page in ice hockey olympic history. Personaly i enjoyed entire tournament so much, so many great games
