if they keep the same qualification process the max is two per gender without the team But there is the change with mixed pairs, but I guess that will be connected to single qualification And it is still very early, the WR works on annual basis, the qualification period starts probably only in spring next year. Based on last OG and current ranking probably we would have 2 or 3 quota (Pucar and Jeger would be somewhere close to the cut)

I think the chances are very low for our team, but you never know all 3 players have to improve their ranking significantly. Iro South Korea , they did not play with the strongest team and probably did not take it too serious as they secured 1st place before last match

a disaster for our wrestling at the European championship although we had Lizatovic fighting for bronze, actually there was only one single win in the whole tournament Lizatovic won 1 fight in repechage. all others lost their fights (ettlinger and starcevic twice)

3 first placed go to 1/8 finals but still no chance for our men as they will lose to South Korea

Today the European President Cup in Taekwondo finished. In total 10 medals for Croatia and important points for the Olympic qualification Gold: Toni Kanaet 74kg Silver: Kristina Tomic 49kg Bruna Vuletic 57kg Ivana Babic 62kg Matea Jelic 67kg Iva Rados 73kg Marko Mutak 74kg Lovre Brecic 63kg Bronze: Doris Pole 73kg Leon Glasnovic 58kg Next Event is the European Championship in Russia in two weeks. Croatia could send up to 26 athletes. Let’s see if they will use the full quota.

Someone in Sailing i don’t know the schedule of the event. I hope we will qualify four crews there st the wch in august

Judo Championship two fifth places for Matic and Marenic, for Matic rather a disappointment and for Marenic good result. Druzeta and Sikic with one win, Sutalo and Azinovic lost in 1st round. Now the olympic qualification starts. Seems we will not send anyone to the China Grand Prix in May. Next event is in Zagreb in July.

Pavlinic was expected. Djurkinjak has a bad season so far.

Today Badminton European Championship starts. Croatia has two athletes: Zvonimir Djurkinjak and Maja Pavlinic. This week is Judo Championship as well with 7 athletes: Azinovic 66kg, Druzeta 81kg, Kumric 100kg, Sikic 57kg, Maric 70kg, and Sutalo and Marinic both +78kg. This weekend then the Presidents Cup in Taekwondo. All important Croatian athletes are there. 20 points for the winner and top 3 get a wild card for the European Championship, which allows to have more than one competitor per weight. Next Monday Wrestling ECH starts. Croatian team: Frankol 55kg, Lizatovic 63kg, Janecic 72kg, Etlinger 77kg and Starcevic 82kg.
