  1. I am really curious whom they will nominate currently it is 3 spots for 5 candidates probably it will be 4 spots. I think I would leave Natko home, but I think he is for sure in. Currently it looks bad for Rodes.
  2. Judo update at the beginning of 2018. qualification period probably will start in May 2018 and 18 per weight class will qualify plus continental quota. Current ranking of Crotian judokas (in brackets points gap to rank 18) F70: 7. Barbara Matic (+1621 points) M81: 20. Dominik Druzeta (-158points) F+78: 20. Ivana Sutalo (-86points) M100: 24. Zlatko Kumric (-264 points) M60: 26. Bernard Azinovic (- 394 points) F52: 27. Tena Sikic (-342 points) The others are at least right now very low in ranking. I hope Brigita Matic will return, at least she is registered for a torunament in february. She has a potential to qualify. I also hope Tihea Topolovec will show some good performances. I guess Miskovic has or will retiry. Projecting current status we would have two judoka. Barbara Matic directly and one via Continental Quota (Druzeta)
  3. Taekwando update after two season are closed which (probably) will count for olympic qualification. (2016 25% and 2017 50%) Actaully it looks very good for our team at this stage: We have two females in the top 6 Kristina Tomic in 4th place in 49kg, and 11 points in front of place 7th Nikita Glasnovic in 5th place in 57kg, and ca. 20 points in front of 7th In other weight classes: F57: Marija Stetic in 13th place and 30 points behind 6th, Bruna Vuletic with 34 points less than 6th F67: Matea Jelic in 8th place and 12points behind 6th F+67: Iva Rados in 11th place and 13 ponits behind 6th M68: Lovro Brecic in 10th place and 18points behind 6th, Deni Rezic is 34 points behind 6th M80: Toni Kanaet in 7th place and just 0,5 points behind 6th m+87: did not do the calculations yet, Vedran Golec should be among top 15 for sure
  4. I would not agree to this. I did some calculation to see how Tomic is doing, and the difference betwenn Stankovic and Bogdanovic is actually not that big. If you take only 25% points from 2016 and 50% of 2017 the ranking for F49 looks as follows 1. Wongpattnakit THA 176,5 2. Kim KOR 148,1 3. Bogdanovic SRB 116 (Sim KOR) 98,3 (Stankovic SRB) 94 4. Tomic CRO 77,8 5. Troung VIE 75 6. Yildirim TUR 73,7 Therefore i would say still very open among Bogdanovic and Stankovic
  5. It seems that Antholz will count for Olympic qualification, but I am not sure about it crnkovic made today his best point (79), if antholz does not count not enough.
  6. Brave Statement regarding Crnkovic why 2 female quota in cross country?
  7. He needs a result which brings him 55-60 ibu qualifying points or two around 70-75. Today he got 98. Of course assuming others dont improve further. Well i think that is going to be very difficult. On the top Dadic si not really helping him in CC
  8. Update after Oberhof and Brezno 1 Lapshin KOR 32 2. Roesch BEL 35 3. Claude BEL 56 4. Guzik POL 69 5. Tachizaki JPN 77 6. Nedza POL 79 7. Kobonoki JPN 81 8. Langer BEL 82 9. Sczeurek POL 84 10. Crnkovic CRO 88
  9. I really dont know how this with the injured status works, but would be better if he manages to be within top 30 in AC, just to be on the saved side. One more race in Wengen. i am not sure he will keep the good fis points in ac, as he is now out of top 30 in wcsl. The first 30 in WCSL get those fis points artificially There will be few reallocations, best example Germany, they will not send more than 12 athletes but could probably 22 Luckily there are no female AC before the deadline, as Leona would be in danger losing that additional female spot.
  10. For the additional quota the WCSL is crucial, there he is out of top 30 But probably he will be in with the FIS List (D3 criteria)
  11. He is so bad in downhil this season, he should consider retiring Problem for us if he drops out of the top 30 in combined (which is very probable) we lose one quota @edit. i just checked he is out of top 30 already now
  12. Such an approach would mean quota for Croatia, right?
  13. How this reallocation of quotas work? Currently it is clear who gets the 38 male, 28 female and 18 doubles quotas. They add then two quotas in female and doubles to form relays. There are two quotas left which were reserved for relays and actually were reserved for men for the purpose to form a relay. Will this two quotas be allocated to men or equally among genders?
  14. Update regarding men qualification ftaer all races in 2016: 1. Lapshin (KOR) 33 2. Roesch (BEL) 35 3. Claude (BEL) 60 4. Guzik (POL) 69 5. Tachizaki (JPN) 77 6. Langer (BEL) 82 7. Koboniki (JPN) 82 8. Nedza (POL) 84 9. Szeczurek (POL) 84 10. Crnkovic (CRO) 88 As one country can have max 2 quota Langer (BEL) is out and we currently have 1 x KOR, 2X BEL, 1 X POL, 2XJPN But still everything very close. Lapshin and Roesch are safe, Claude probably as well. The rest is still open. In total 6 races left, 2x WC and 4x IBU Cup. I would expect that all candidates will focus on the IBU CUP now to have more chances.
  15. tomorrow nikita glasnovic (former sweden) starts for the first time under croatian flag great news for us, altough i dont know why she is doing that she is currently 4th in the olympic catgeory -57kg
  16. i know, but i ignored that as he will have few races soon anyway lapshin does count, so it is six quoata places currently korea, belgium, 2x japan, 2x poland
  17. update after Östersund 1. Lapshin KOR 38 2. Roesch BEL 49 3. Guzik POL 69 4. Koboniki JPN 82 5. Tachizaki JPN 83 6. Scezurek POL 89 7. Crnkovic CRO 94 8. Langer BEL 95 9. Nedza POL 101 10.Dixon GBR 102 Claude (BEL) not yet in the ranking as only two results (average after two results 85)
  18. It looks like we will be represented only in two sports at Olympic Games in Korea: Alpine and Cross Country Skiing. There is still tiny chances in 4men bob, snowboard and biathlon, but very unlikely.
  19. I read somewhere that Belgium will send their athletes if they qualify. Langer probably will not qualify anyway as Roesch and Claude are better. Not sure but does it matter if they decline or not, as there is no reallocation of quota?
  20. Nope not interested at all in the women ranking
  21. I tried to do some calculation for the remaining places for men qualification: Standing after first ibu cup 2017/18 1. Roesch Bel 2. Lapshin Kor 3. Guzik Pol 4. Koboniki Jpn 5. Tachizaki jpn 6. Szecurek Pol 7. Langer Bel 8. Crnkovic Cro Claude (bel) will probably come in high in this ranking with his next race, therefore currently it looks like 2xbelgium, 1x Korea, 2x Japan and 1x Poland, but still everything is very close and one very good result could change everything.
  22. kresimir crnkovic had a solid result in cross country in norway last weekend he should be now below 100 fis points in distance does it mean we get two quoatas in cross country?
  23. In the end the worst second will be decided among Slovakia ( if Scotland is not 2nd) Croatia or Ukraine wales or Rep Ireland Northern Ireland (probability very very low) and Greece
  24. I don't think those are the seeded teams the fifa rankIng will be crucial, I guess the October one. I don't think Denmark will be among top 4. Northern Ireland has better chances or even Slovakia. Currently Croatia would be 4th but I guess we will drop down in the next ranking. But anyway I don't believe in a win in Kiev
  25. I still don't understand the system. For example according to the current simulation list Croatia has 1 male and two female quotas! But why, I would say it should be two in both?
