  1. It’s pretty much going to be either a widely spread games or one of those countires. Nowhere else is interested or can afford it.
  2. I wouldn’t be shocked if the IOC keep trying to take power away from NOC’s and centralise selections more and more.
  3. I wonder what the chances they omly win golds in Cross Country, and fail to win one in Biathlon, Nordic Combined and Alpine.
  4. Feels like it will be Germany who might manage it.
  5. Biathlon at the Olympics next year is going to very good for France I suspect.
  6. How long will the events tommrow and Wednesday take. My TV schedule says only 45 mins or so for each of the two events.
  7. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/olympics/articles/c2479v9q86qo IBA want Trump to help get Boxing on the programme and them running it. Trump vs the IOC is one to watch - currently not a good relationship unlike Trump and FIFA.
  8. I wonder if it might be cancelled. Combination of reasons.
  9. https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2025/jan/08/world-anti-doping-agency-faces-crisis-after-us-government-withholds-funding IOC will have to accept WADA being frozen out or move or cancel the games.
  10. USA axes funding for WADA. Major crisis now. https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2025/jan/08/world-anti-doping-agency-faces-crisis-after-us-government-withholds-funding
  11. I saw on another website the BBC are working on the assumption GB is only doing the Euros and not the Worlds.
  12. https://ksltv.com/722937/why-the-new-york-times-says-utah-still-could-lose-the-2034-winter-games/
  13. Salt Lake City could be stripped of the 2034 games l https://ksltv.com/722937/why-the-new-york-times-says-utah-still-could-lose-the-2034-winter-games/
  14. If Coe wins it be in Saudi for sure.
  15. LA could if they get a huge domestic turnout.
  16. Surely they will unless I am missing something.
  17. https://www.skysports.com/tennis/news/12110/13262332/iga-swiatek-five-time-grand-slam-champion-accepts-one-month-suspension-in-doping-case Cwnt see WADA not overturning this. One month for a banned substance is very low even for accidental consumption. I’ve only ever heard that short for something banned only in Competition and therefore not seen as fully doping. .
  18. It’s going to be fun when FIFA find out Trump won’t budge and let some players in just weeks before.
  19. Doesn’t seem very likely the IOC will get there demands regarding WADA.
  20. Doing more in daylight again means a more congested schedule with some possible clashes between the Alpine and the Cross - Country or Biathlon. Do you have a link to this new schedule?
  21. The IOC could fall apart over 2028 and the possibilty of countires being banned (Including maybe China), Who knows how that will go.
  22. Why is Iran still playing qualifying. They not going ti be let in the USA to play if they did make it.
