  1. He was due to compete at the Bolivarian Games last month but didn't it seems Became Chilean in July
  2. Russia have made many mistakes in how they have dealt with this in the last month, I think now it's either neutral athletes or a ban on Russia.

  6. To be fair - he only tested positive for a stimulant not a steroid, Toma and Begaj's cases are much worse
  7. Begaj, Mahmoud and Toma (Gold at 63kg) have all served doping bans

  13. Would Belarus accept the place? They are great allies of Russia.
  14. IIHF president Rene Fasel says that if Russia is banned from the Olympics, it could look to IIHF rankings to replace them in PyeongChang hockey tournaments. That would mean Belarus men, German women.
  15. Sotnikova from figure skating
  16. 25 cases this month. 24 found guilty
  17. I've just seen an e-mail from one of the skeleton women who is trying to qualify, to a journalist "I have to be ranked in the top 45 once the ranking list has been cleared of countries who have more athletes than than quota places available For example if there are 10 Germans in the rankings list, the maximum they can qualify is 3 so the rest are removed. The process continues so if Great Britain have 5 in the ranking list and they may only have 2 qualification places so 3 are removed and so all other athletes are moved up. This continues until it's cleaned of all the athletes who can't qualify due to a country exceeding its quota places"
  18. 100% Pure Colombian...
  19. The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) announces that 8 riders were notified of an Adverse Analytical Finding (AAF) in samples during the Vuelta a Colombia 2017. The riders Luis Alberto Largo Quintero, Jonathan Felipe Paredes Hernandez, Edward Fabian Diaz Cardenas, Fabio Nelson Montenegro Forero, Luis Camargo Flechas, Fabian Robinson Lopez Rivera and Oscar Soliz Vilca were notified of an AAF of CERA* in blood samples collected on 1 and 2 August 2017. The rider Juan Carlos Cadena Sastoque was notified of an AAF of 19-noretiocholanolone and 19-norandrosterone** in a urine sample provided on 11 August 2017
  20. https://apnews.com/592a87599c244c9c90180bc341e90502/2-Russian-athletes-disqualified-from-Olympics-for-doping The Russian track and field federation says two more of its athletes have been disqualified from the Olympics for doping. The federation says relay medalist Yulia Gushchina and long jumper Anna Nazarova were caught when their samples from the 2012 Olympics were retested. Gushchina had already been stripped of one gold and two silver relay medals from the 2008 and 2012 Olympics because various teammates were banned for doping offenses. Nazarova finished fifth in the long jump. More than 100 athletes have been disqualified from the 2008 and 2012 Olympics since the International Olympic Committee launched a wave of retests last year. Track and field has been the sport worst affected, and Russia has been the country with the most doping cases.
  21. Cricket would be good for the IOC because India is the biggest country in cricket and also the one big country left where the Olympics need a boost in interest. However attempts at getting a cricket competition at the Commonwealth Games and Asian Games have been poor. Lack of effort by the strong nations killed it at both. India, Australia and England are more interested in making money at their own tournaments than expanding the sport.
  22. My views 5,10,17 Problems with drug taking ruin their chances 4,6 Not competitive at the top level 15 A sport where only one sex competes is not going to be added any more 20 Too expensive
  23. Apparently there's a skater from Ireland competing in the Junior World Cup this weekend
  24. Question is: Was it murder or suicide?
  25. I won't comment on whether it was right or wrong to disqualify them but the R-Sport is not correct. There were 5 scratch marks on Fatkulina's sample and 4 on Rumyantsev's sample. It's easy to work this from online documents from the McLaren report evidence. Unless you believe WADA is telling lies?
