  1. I haven't seen that one, may be censored...Could u share the link if u still have it?
  2. A new leader maybe two weeks ago. He took some "stonger" measures to contain the spread. Firstly he ordered the hospital and government hospitalized all confirmed patients, but Wuhan don't have that many beds and medics. and then built 40+ temporary hospital in stadium and exhibition center to hospitalize mild symptom patients and deliver total 40000+ medics from rest part of China to help. Second he ordered grassroots government staff to check if there any patient left at home. Each grassroots governor is responsible for a little residential area, he has to know who is patient, who is suspected and who is at quarantine at home. The government collect those data and sent all patients to hospital. Now the Wuhan government claims "no more patients waiting for beds, only beds waiting for patients". The video people yelling from apartment is actually quite early, definitely before the new leader came. Just people yelling “Wuhan, stay strong", cheering up each other. It's also scolded by experts, saying it's also potentially infectious. After all, I don't live in Wuhan and I don't know what real life is there. I think it's still a ghost town and people must suffer a lot both physically and mentally. Daily new patients keep going down these days. Hope they will finish this quite soon. People in other parts of China gradually back to normal life now. PS another reason no regular citizens posting blogs any more maybe due to mass VPNs dead again in China, including mine. I have to buy a new one.
  3. She is a great player, feel sad her career ended up as this way. Personally I would forgive her for the drama doping case.
  4. That's what Wuhan did at the very beginning, and then the great outbreak happened, and then Wuhan itself lost capability to control and contain the epidemic. And then the whole world began to watch this TV series...
  5. If he is in China, first he will be mandatorily stay in hospital until he is fully recover. After recovery he will be sent to a hotel with another 14-day quarantine. Second, his close contacts(family members, co-workers) will be quarantine in a hotel for 14 days. Third, his other contacts( neighbors, people wherever he met in a short time) will be asked to quarantine at home for 14 days. local government staff will be responsible to monitor and deliver food and goods during home-quarantine. Hospital treatment and mandatory hotel quarantine are free of charge ( very socialism haha). A great social loss for China but finally the situation is under control now.
  6. That's the dilemma we are facing, each action with its own pros and cons. Lots of Chinese scold Korean government not taking strong action to those religious gathering which contributes more than half the patients in Korea. But I can understand because of different political system, Korean government can't do lots of things directly especially seeming violating human rights
  7. If those countries just reported first cases take strong reaction to contain the spread, they still should be considered safe. If the virus can be contained in China, Korea, Italy, Japan and Iran, then it still could be resolved in a couple of weeks. It's a choice between strong action to affect people's daily life and society economy or mild action to keep society work well but greater chance to spread.
  8. But China is still kicked out because we accept the women's quota? I saw the news China's NT player already back to China ( not sure the credibility). If so, they should already give up.
  9. Short Track Speed Skating ISU World Championships in Korea also may be postponed. Currently the committee awaits the final decision of ISU. The source is from China state media.
  10. The situation you describe is very like China at the early stage. The test paper is in shortage and very time-consuming, lots of patients confirmed after 1-2 weeks. During this period, if hospital doesn't quarantine the patient, other people may be infected. I'm almost quarantine in my home for almost 1 month. Just go to supermarkets several times. Based on what I observe, may not be correct, if you wear mask the infection chance will be much lower.
  11. There is a tie-break rule, to compare her average points of all participating stages, not just the highest 3 stages. So she will get the vault quota based on current situation. The second highest floor player will get the floor quota.
  12. If Japan claim their host quota, does it mean China will get the individual quota?
  13. China is in. But my current VPN doesn't work, I will find a new one and post the song later.
  14. China state-owned media reported today FINA officially notified China women's water polo qualified for Olympics. It may imply that Kazakhstan qualifies in men's though no FINA official announcement on its website. Also saw news China and Iran will "boycott" men's world qualifier.
  15. Happy to see it's finally finalized. And thanks Serbia a lot. Many Chinese athletes base there for training.
  16. I also saw the news today. Is it clear how people got infected? Qom doesn't seem to have any connection with China.
  17. Yes, I don't quite understand how the national and local team work in Korea. This new is confusing for me.
  18. The suspension of Seo Seung Jae has been postponed from the end of Olympics to the end of 2020. The decision is made by Korean federation. The reason is for the sake of his innocent partners. Basically this issue is solved in a perfunctory way. The source is in Chinese: https://sports.sina.com.cn/others/badmin/2020-02-20/doc-iimxyqvz4462042.shtml
  19. Why not Iran suggest itself hold the game? Iran doesn't ban Chinese in my memory.
  20. China is ok with the arrangement? If I were the Chinese official I would say no and offer the FINA similar options, having the match in Rotterdam just before the worldwide qualifier begins and then whoever lose it continuously participate the next one( hopeless anyway) . It doesn't create too much burden for anyone and much more fair. One more question, why not Iran hold the game? Because it has to hold men's and women's together?
  21. Annoying, unnecessary and overreacting but not weird for me. It's the priority political mission of the local governors to contain the spread and preventing virus coming into their ruling area. The governors from less developed or rural area tend to take those simple and crude actions. Human right is something fancy only heard about and political mission accomplished is the only goal for them.
  22. Update some current situations about the coronavirus and potential influence about the sports based on Chinese media and social platform. 1. The situation of Hubei province where Wuhan is is still quite severe. The shortage of in-patient beds and medical staff is somehow relieved but still not fully resolved. Temporary mobile cabin hospitals are continuously being built for patient with mild symptoms, mainly for isolation. These hospitals are made use of sports stadiums and university dormitories including those supposed to hold boxing qualifier. It still takes a long time to control the situation there. 2. The situation of rest part of China is much better now thanks to the lockdown of Hubei province. The number of daily new patient drops for consecutive 13 days from 800+ to 100+. Some provinces have no new patients now. Although some epidemic prevention control work is still very strict and kinda affect people's daily life, people are more relived and less panic now. 3. Chinese start to worry about Japan. Not because of Diamond Princess, but the localized infection seem to happen. Chinese think the Marathons and Naked Festival in Japan are extremely risky and that's how the infection in Wuhan started. If no strong and strict actions to take, the outbreak would take place and may cause the cancelation of Olympics. 4. All kinds of sports events in China before April have been canceled for sure and some of them are postponed or replaced. But most Asian Olympic qualifiers still function and Chinese athletes can participate them as long as meeting quarantine requirement. No significant impact for Chinese athletes until now. Hope Asian qualifiers and the most important Olympic Games in Tokyo would be successfully hosted and the outbreak would end soon.
  23. More like the cancellation of Olympic is unstoppable if thing goes that bad.
  24. Yes it could. But athletes are still responsible to report their location and WADA still can send people from other place to test them. Time to see who are the bravest professionals.
