  1. Traditionally, we call their given name only, the first part. Like Tuohetaerbieke, Maimaitituersun and Aihemaiti. It's the correct way to call them. But in reality, it's too long for most people, we can call" Bro Tuo" or " Small Bieke".
  2. Very interesting question. TUOHETA ERBIEKE Tanglatihan is ethnic Kazakh, Maimaititu Ersun Qiong is ethnic Uygur. These two ethnic groups share the same naming system. The given name comes first, and surname comes after. It actually should write Tuohetaerbieke TANGLATIHAN and Maimaituersun QIONG. The given name is usually called by people, surname is father's given name, so they don't have a certain family name. But people often make mistake because of different naming system of majority of Chinese. BTW the Maimaiti means Mohammed, tuersyun is also a common Uygur name. But I totally don't know Kazakh name meaning.
  3. That game is really dramatic, but his previous games were also not in good condition. But his quota seems confirmed, he still has time to recover.
  4. Anybody will watch All England? a big event for Olympic ranking but seems the condition of the Asian Games champion Christie is still terrible like when he was in Asian championships.
  5. If it's not Jordan, I am not sure how's the relationship between Arabian countries and Qatar right now, will they be against Qatar?
  6. Lots of places in China have finished self quarantine and back to normal track. One of the phenomena is divorce reservation is fully booked, much more than usual and they have to wait for another couple of weeks to divorce. It already happened.
  7. Does anyone know how the ranking of this qualifier associated with the Olympic seeding? Is it the only event being considered?
  8. It seems they will not participate in any qualifiers due to the coronavirus. No one can enter or leave the country right now. Hope it ends soon and everything back on track.
  9. The fear emotion plunge the global stock market. I have a deep concern for global economy and financial markets. I don't want it's the fear itself defeat human race instead of the virus. So worried about the job and mortgage.
  10. It was really a messy game. As an outsider of boxing, I would favor the Iranian and I thought the Chinese would lose. But turn out the score is so split, don't know the reason why and no one will specifically explain the rules to me. The Chinese news will just say nothing meaningless and congrats the winner.
  11. And it's hard for me to tell who is the winner, very dizzy. Glad Tanglatihan won the bout all because of referee no.4. Thank you.
  12. Total disaster today. Poor performance of the players and the terrible equipment of the uneven bars. The uneven bars may cause serious injury of the athletes, can't imagine it happen on World Cup series USA stage. The Chinese athlete Zhang Jin is even worse beyond my imagination and she will not appear in Tokyo for sure now.
  13. Around 70 people in the hotel. Can't believe how come a hotel would fall in 2020
  14. I will go. Accommodation will be cheaper and tickets will be easier to buy. I am going to start to plan the trip until May so I still have plenty of time to monitor the situation.
  15. If it's in Asia, sounds like Jordan or Qatar.
  16. Chinese gymnasts who are going to compete this stage arrived in Doha at the end Feb. They lost the opportunity to compete in Melbourne due to the travel ban, so this time they planed very early. And they will continue training there to prepare the last one Baku stage.
  17. For classes with 6 quotas: 2 SF between 4 losers of QF For classes with 5 quotas: 1 Final between losers of gold and silver medalists That's what I infer from the schedule of last day and our local media.
  18. Russia seems to be very nervous about the virus. It's the second country (right after North Korea) close its border with China and suspend trains at a very fast response. And put evacuees from Wuhan quarantined in a remote Siberian town. Maybe it's true because they took some precautions. Also Russia is willing to host all kinds of influential sport events canceled due to the virus including short track speed skating WC but declined by ISU.
  19. I mean UWW currently faces difficulties finding a host to hold some continental qualifiers which will affect the worldwide one. They can postpone the continental and world qualifiers to May. If the outbreak ends that time, the qualifiers and Olympic can be both held. If not, they could be both postponed. The situation would be clear in May and not necessarily hurrying finish all qualifiers in April.
  20. UWW could postpone all qualifiers to May. If qualifiers still can not be held that time, it means Olympic will also be postponed or canceled.
  21. Maybe ACL with different severity, I am not sure either. Let's see her recovery in Tokyo. She might meet Gong Li if they both qualify. BTW still no official announcement of the cancelation of Rabat stage with one week left. Is it going to be held as usual?
  22. A lot of athletes suffered from ACL, some of them just fade out or retired because of it. Most Chinese athletes will do surgery in USA with expectation 6-9 months for recovery. If it really works in 2-3 months, it will be a new magic. Looking forward to your update.
  23. I think Tian if preferred if he and Li Fabin are both healthy. Because 96kg is a heavy class wihch China never conquers before. It will be a breakthrough if Tian makes it.
  24. going crazy about political correctness. IOC should be with one male president and one female president, and 5 vice presidents from 5 continents with exact 5 different colors.
  25. Hong Kong received a huge gift out of nowhere. They must laugh for a whole day.
