  1. Exactly, I don't remember a competition now when we were informed that she is going in top shape or that she's feeling well Anyhow, this is why Danas Rapšys has become my favourite Lithuanian swimmer and he might even get a medal today.
  2. Yeah, thanks to you both. I wonder what Meilutytė can do, she's going in after sickness, so there's a perfect excuse lined up already.
  3. Anybody watched European Short Course Championships this morning? Any good livestream link?
  4. When I saw the article in our media my first thought "Totallympics were discussing this for years"
  5. I hope that Natalija Paulauskaitė will get switched out with Gabrielė Leščinskaitė for Annecy, but since we don't have any biathlon news what so ever, that'll only be clear in the official start lists
  6. Amazing news for our track-cycling today as Vasilijus Lendel wins the men's sprint at the world cup in Chile, beating the 2017 sprint world champion in 2:1 battle.
  7. Apparently some result problems in the women's relay as well, as Slovakia is bumped up to 17th, Estonia falls down to 20th? I don't understand what's going on. Edit: It appears that they didn't use the new rules for this relay, so the shooting after getting lapped didn't matter and was annulled.
  8. Weird, apparently Lithuanian men's relay team after finishing 24th, is now 22nd with Poland and SLovakia behind them? Did they forget to do a penalty loop and got +2 minutes?
  9. I can't believe this, but we just one-upped the Slovakian Women relay team This is revenge for the men
  10. Nice 11th place for Linas Banys of Lithuania in the juniors cup. That's by far our best placement ever.
  11. OH MY GOD. Linas Banys in junior cup is 0+0 in the sprint and at the moment in second place +52 seconds away from Claude after second shooting
  12. Go go Lindstrom, Sweden on the podium would make my day.
  13. Even in a clown fiesta, the best countries come out on top
  14. That Slovakia x Lithuania rivalry is so on fire right now. We deserve each other
  15. I think they caused the Swedish fall? Lithuania is no longer in yellow suits, we're dark red
  16. Dombrovski avoided the penalty loop, but lost a minute in the range
  17. Why? Because of his horrible last lap?
  18. Ah, one shot away from going out 6th
  19. Can we please stop the relay as it is right now?
  20. The thing is that nobody is making a case for themselves. Prior to Hochfilzen sprint, Kočergina was the worst performer out of the three and Gabrielė didn't even get the chance to start in the world cup. With clear shooting, I think she could make a case for herself, though today's performance was horrid with both skiing and shooting.
  21. Well, I saw the stable improvement from Vytautas for a couple of seasons, it's just that his shooting was usually his downfall and I guess this season he had turned it around. On the other hand, Dombrovski didn't really improve over the years and that's the result that is unfolding right now. What is more interesting, is the women selection, where everyone is so surprisingly bad, that it's difficult to choose the two who are the least bad.
  22. Yey, finally some luck for Makarainen I love her, because she always keeps on fighting and her last laps are always the most entertaining to watch.
  23. Okay, so this is pretty amazing for our weak country. Vytautas Strolia, a former Lithuanian cross-country skier switched to biathlon a couple of years ago with very mixed results and pretty bad shooting. He has participated in two pursuits before today and his previous best placement was 50th place in the sprint yesterday. 0+0+1+1 he showed maturity and his improvement over the years and in pursuits Lithuanians always go backwards, so this is a very nice thing indeed. It is also the first time since 2015 Antholz (Kočergina) and 2015 Kontiolahti (Leščinskaitė) that a Lithuanian biathlete that is not Tomas Kaukėnas manages to get into top 40.
