  1. Filming on 16th, show on 20th, so basically 5 days left until the big day. Thanks for the support
  2. Paparapaaa, let's look who we're missing on the women's side for tomorrow's race! Rieder is swapped out and Zdouc is brought in after a good performance in the IBU cup for Austria. Yurkevich coming in, replacing Pisareva for Belarus. Yordanova instead of Kadeva for Bulgaria. Rosanna Crawford is brought back in, replacing Tandy. One switch for China and The Czechs starting with 6 girls this time, adding Johanidesova. Mari Laukkanen is missing for Finland and Minkkinen takes her place. As I predicted, Chloe Chevalier is brought in for France, replacing Simon. Although Marie Dorin-Habert is not starting tomorrow, leaving France with only 5 starters. Germany does not make any changes in their team, so there's pretty much no chance for anyone in IBU cup to even try qualifying to the Olympics. Italy trying to become my enemy, by not introducing Karin Oberhofer. Kazakhstan starting with 5 girls instead of 4 (honestly, had no idea they had 5 quotas) Drastic changes for team Korea, all three are swapped with Avvakumova, Hwang and Park. Baiba Bendika is back for Latvia. Olsbu and Nicolaisen back for Norway, Fenne and Kalkkenberg are swapped out. Very important changes in the Russian camp as FINALLY Uslugina and Kaisheva are brought in from the IBU cup, although pretty surprising, but Yurlova is missing the individual race, as well as Mironova is out of the team. Slovenia bringing back their team up to 3 as Poje and Klemencic are introduced. All three Gasparins for the first time this season together in World Cup along with Haecki, Cadurisch is the one to get replaced. Both Fialkovas and Poliakova back for Slovakia. Surprisingly, not a single change in team Sweden, although I'd argue that Hanna Oeberg is one of their strongest candidates. Vita Semerenko is out for Ukraine, Zhurakov is brought in. USA surprisingly still remains a two women squad.
  3. Fuck everything, I knew it. 0+0+0, camera zooms in, Sochi all over again
  4. I'm afraid to comment on this race For reasons
  5. Very anxious prior to today's race. Theoretically, it is our best chance to have a decent result, but with numbers 74+77 and somewhere in the nineties, the track might not be in a good condition, I expect some slow ski times.
  6. I'm afraid, honestly. There will be so freaking many Hopefully Makarainen stays a little bit longer, my all time favourite athlete...
  7. Thankfully it's going to be a short episode of "Werloc doing biathlon things". Anyways, for starters, team Austria is with changes as Simon Eder is back in the team, Felix Leitner gets the boot. Smolski comes in instead of Chepelin for Belarus. Anev is back and is switched with Sinapov, even though Sinapov had the best performance in Oberhof. Davies comes in instead of Campbell for Canada. Slesingr and Hosek comes in instead of Soukup and Krupcik. Koiv is in instead of Lessing for Estonia. Simon Fourcade is back in the A Team for France and Beatrix is moved to the IBU cup, which is most likely his worst season performance in many many years. Erik Lesser is back for Germany and now they're starting the full 6 athletes. 1 switch for Kazakhstan and Lapshin tags out for Korea as Heo comes in. Two changes for team Latvia as Rastorgujevs is back and also Ilmars Bricis is in after reaching the qualification standard in the IBU cup. Many surprises in Norway. Tarjei Boe is missing as well as Birkeland. Bjoentegaard and Christiansen coming in in their place (Still, pretty unfair to Gjesbakk if you ask me) 1 switch for Poland and 1 for Romania. Shopin and Garanichev come back for team Russia, Babikov and Tsvetkov not in the team. 1 change for Slovenia and a serious hit to Switzerland as Weger is missing from this one, Dolder is brought in. Otcenas and Kazar back from the IBU cup to the team. And super Sweden, exchanging Peppe Femling with Stenersen. 1 addition for team USA as Bailley is back in the team. Anyways, it ended up not being a short episode, surprisingly a very long list of changes. Edit: Missed to add that Crnkovic is in for Croatia.
  8. Had a three hour rehearsal today, everything is starting to look pretty well, apart from me being very sick + voice issues. Anyways, I'm very anxious, but hopeful at the same time, I really want to make it to the second round
  9. Lithuanian national selection started last Saturday. 6 entrants moved on to the second round. 12 points (jury and people vote combined) went to Ieva Zasimauskaitė
  10. Lithuania qualified three cross-country skiers to the Olympics. It's Modestas Vaičiulis, he's a sprinter, honestly our best chance to not be last The second one is Tautvydas Strolia and you might recognise this name as his brother Vytautas Strolia is a biathlete. The third one is Marija Kaznačenko, a girl that was depressed about her biathlon results and thought that she would never qualify to the Olympics so she took the easy way out to become a cc skier in order to qualify with no competition what so ever.
  11. Sadly, I have only one Lithuanian friend that cares about sport and he used to be a user here (the story how we met is a pretty funny one ) I wouldn't really want to introduce this forum to the scum that comment on sports in our media articles so my hands are pretty much tied at the moment. If I'd ever come across a person that I'd know would enjoy it here, I would definitely recommend this place, alas, I'm very unlucky at meeting sports enthusiasts since I'm working in the music industry and am mostly surrounded by people who wouldn't be able to name a winter sport in less than 5 seconds.
  12. Firstly, I want to talk about the 'regime'. I was reading some cross-country skiing threads and noticed that @heywoodu failed to post in the correct one twice. When I reloaded the page, I saw that all three cross-country threads were on the top and I thought it would be funny to poke fun at that, you know, just for shits & giggles. I made a screenshot and precisely picked an off topic thread for general discussions with the sole purpose to make a joke and now it's moved into suggestions & problems thread. You see where this is going? I was making a joke! I was not commenting on an issue of the forum, it was supposed to be simple fun, but now it's in the problem thread Secondly, in my humble opinion, editing posts of users to fit certain standards makes the user feel stupid. No one should feel like they did something wrong, just because they didn't post the right way. I remember even from old Totallympics how many times my font, the size of the letters and colours were changed for stuff like entry lists or even entering a TISC competition. There was only one blue, only one pink, only one green that could be used and if you tried anything different it was changed to be the same like the rest to have a unifying principle. If you misspelled a word in the topic, you could guarantee that it would be edited, because illiteracy would be too difficult to handle here. I know, it's cool to see everything neat and in order, but it only adds a feeling that you're always safeguarded and watched. Anyways, from my experience of all these years in Totallympics I can say that I developed a fear of opening threads. My last thread that I opened was the TISC that I hosted that had a perfect template made for the first few pages, yet I still felt stress whilst opening it Back in old TT, I remember seeing users use different tables and other stuff that I was always unable to re-create and everything would be edited to be perfect no matter how much I tried to come close to those standards. Anyways, throughout the years, I stopped trying to do anything creative here and resigned to just comment on stuff, because that's the only thing that I can do right here. Final thoughts: a forum should not be alienating its own users. I appreciate your work @Sindo and I appreciate you inviting me here all these years ago. It's not like I'm going to leave, primarily because I would miss all of the emotional ladies of this forum, but I gotta say, that I'm not as active as I used to be, because there's not that many things left to discuss for me. When biathlon season ends and TISC hasn't started yet, pretty much the only posts that I'll be able to make will be me writing about a good Lithuanian result in some thread that no one will care about Anyways, that's my two cents in this whole situation.
  13. Honestly, I'm jealous. We've only had spring and lots of rain.
  14. Does this mean that I'll have to find the time to watch cross-country skiing again? Also, I miss the legendary Miri days.
  15. I am honestly very interested to see Sweden in Rupholding and how much these relay performances will boost their individual performance. I suspect we might see a few more Swedes in higher points in the next stage just from this good morale.
  16. It warms my heart when 2nd tier relay teams make it on the podium. Their celebrations just seem so much more genuine and it's beautiful to see.
  17. If only our 19-year olds could win relays
  18. Every single time during the clown fiesta, the standings start looking pretty reasonable at the end, with 6 very tough countries on top.
  19. Sweden's going to be celebrating into the night
  20. That's only because Belarus were not allowed to continue defending their title
  21. There is nothing stopping Ireland from having 2 great athletes just like Belgium did
