In women's cycling both a Russian and Belarussian will compete so I imagine it's fine.

I think Germany is good at this bobsleigh thing

There's a good chance all or almost all of the events at the Oceania qualifier will be reallocated, especially with New Zealand not contributing. At the Pacific Games, they barely had enough competitors and that's without the athlete limitation.
Even at a best case scenario, the following nations competed at the Pacific Games:
On paper all of the events could be eligible if the nations work together. In reality, the Pacific nations will probably want to avoid Australia as much as possible so we could have a situation where Australia's chosen events are not eligible while the other events are full of Pacific nations. That's probably the opposite of what World Taekwondo wanted. As mentioned before, it's not difficult to figure out 3/4 events Australia will choose (unless they decide to play mind games and participate in weaker events so that they can qualify).

Georgia Furquim gets the ticket in women’s skeet, as everyone else in the final was already qualified.
Isn't Josefa Rodriguez still eligible or did they do the shoot-out?
Edit: Looks like she didn't make the final

Tennis was always going to allow them to compete if they were allowed to do so.

And Freestyle Skiing needs to remove it's 32 athlete per country limit
It's at least possible now for a country to qualify in every taekwondo event, which imo was one of the big improvement over the old (pre-Rio) qualification system.
It's a step in the right direction, but needing to be in the top 6 is quite a high bar.
Of course, if I had my way, I'd bump taekwondo (and boxing and wrestling for that matter) to 24 athletes per event.

While the United States will win more medals, China will win more gold. France will be on an island in third while 4th and 5th will be interchangeable. Japan, Italy, Australia and Germany also have a chance at making the top 5

Shortboard Men's : & Quota Olympic
Yup, Correa and one of Duru/Mignot will compete at the Olympics as they are guaranteed to finish no worse than 10th and 4 athletes guaranteed to finish in the top 10 are not eligible.
The remaining four quotas will be decided between . There's a decent chance it will be decided after repechage 8. If not then it will be decided after repechage 9.

In the event the tripartite quota is not awarded (unlikely since and are eligible) the quota will be reallocated to McGonagle

We have two new qualifiers on the women's side: Camilla Kemp and Anat Lelior. Nadia Erostarbe is now guaranteed an Olympic spot too.
Two more women's quotas remain, Siqi Yang, Janire Gonzalez-Etxbarri and Sky Brown can all qualify by finishing top two in their repechage heat. Not sure who gets the last quota if only one of them advance.
It would go to the athlete with the highest score in their final heat so currently Lucia Machado (assuming Janire doesn't finish in the top 2)

I don’t think we’re as weak in surfing as you would claim us to be. We’ve had excellent (by our standards) performances at the last two ISA Surf Games. Her results haven’t been great, but they haven’t been bad either. I don’t agree with you calling Erin’s silver medal a fluke (?) though, she’s widely regarded as the next big surfing sensation.
Perhaps in the future, but given the fact she failed to qualify to the World League, she's still behind the top surfers. I look forward to seeing her in 2028.
From a qualifying to the Olympics perspective surfing had one of the lowest chances, but that's more due to our versatility. Right now we are on pace at qualifying in 28/32 sports. Not many nations have that kind of reach. Modern pentathlon could have someone if Fitzsimmons competes at the World Cups while sport climbing is quite unlikely. Field Hockey and Handball obviously has no chance now.

Realistically, surfing is still one of our weaker sports. The fact we have anyone competing is a pleasant surprise.
Based on her performance over the past year Brooks' silver medal last year was more of a fluke and unlikely to be replicated.

Love this free quota market....
Isn't it great when small nations like the United States get free quotas?
