    beat Canada 31-0 in Rugby 7s. That score honestly flatters Canada. There is a very good chance Canada won't even make the quarterfinals, which at this point would feel like a mercy killing. If Canada makes it to the QF they are going to have to face either France or New Zealand.

    Canada is getting eaten alive by France in the first half of their Rugby 7s match. They might not even make it out of pools.

    She's not going to repeat. I'm willing to bet a ton of money she won't repeat. So what?

    Again, she gets to win an Olympic title she never expected to be able to win. How disappointing. This is beyond what anyone expected Sunni Lee to ever do. She's not an all time great. But she's an Olympic all around champion, and she'll be an Olympic all around champion for the rest of her life.

    The fact Andrade is in the Olympics at all is a miracle. Her winning silver is just amazing. I don't think calling this a "choke" is fair at all.

    Not sure it was mentioned here but ultimately the women's foil team finished 5th, which is the second best result ever for Canada in fencing. Jessica Guo is a really exciting prospect for LA and Brisbane (she's still going to be really young in Paris).

    To be fair on the women's side anyway this was more a C team than a B team. I think they pretty wisely decided this wasn't going to be a medal chance.

    Summer McIntosh finishes 11th in the 800m free, with a PB.

    This women's all around finals is going to be really exciting. It's going to come down to who actually hits their routines, nobody has such a huge advantage that they can afford to make a mistake. I can't even decide who I want to win (I think I'd like to see every women's event go to a different person).
