  1. Actually this is a big olympics for me. This is my 7th olympic games living in California. However its my very first one as a naturalized us citizen!
  2. I wish. We never had a winter medal. Hopefully this is the year
  3. well nbc are certainly updated..... Qualification rounds will reduce the field to 50 competitors. The top 10 jumpers from the current season’s World Cup standings qualify for the final automatically and can elect to not jump in the qualifying round. The qualification round includes one trial jump and one scored jump.
  4. Who are the 10 jumpers who qualify automatically to the final?
  5. i believe that most of the nbcolympics.com feed is the international feed, i dont think that it's the NBC feed, i'm sure that on NBCSN it will sound much better
  6. For someone who watches his first ever curling match. Whats the difference between mixed and regular? Besides the number of competitors......
  7. Well lindsey was out, shiffrin wasn't yet comfortable with anything but the slalom and speed skating was a big dissapointment
  8. I'm a believer in Bailey! i think we can win 1 biathlon medal between Bailey, Burke and Dunklee, a bronze in like a mass start or something
  9. but why is world cup rankings accurate? not everyone participating in every world cup, Lindsey Vonn was out most of the season and look at her now, she is not the favorite according to the rankings, but are you going to bet against her after winning 3 in a row? you dont take into account all the parameters if you include only world cup rankings. in sochi usa won 9 gold medals, with a horrible performance in speed skating, like i said, i dont expect us to lead the table in the end, especially with not a lot of medals if any to be won in sledding, cross country, ski jumping, curling, nordic combined, biathlon (unless bailey will show up in top form) but between skiing, freestyle skiing, snowboard, speed skating and figure skating i'm fairly confident we will eclipse the 6 gold and 20 total you predicted (again 9 gold and 28 total in sochi with 0 speed skating medals)
  10. how did you get to 6 golds by usa? can be just 3 or more between vonn and shiffrin, then snowboarding and freestyle skiing should bring few more in slopestyle, halfpipe, nathan chen in figure skating, possibly speed skating, i dont think we will get most, but i think 6 is under
  11. still not over it, very sad, also scary precedent for basketball for nba players, and probably means will really never see mlb players in baseball, even in the l.a olympics

  13. Amazing amazing amazing amazing. Patriots loosing made it even more amazing
  14. I feel like winter is really the extreme olympics. Almost every sport i consider extreme. Unlike summer. Most sports someone off the street wont be able to just try to do. Any of the sledding is totally insane. Alpine skiing and especially downhill. Ski jumping?? I feel like the only thing that someone can just start doing is cross country. Biathlon or curling. Obviously not to their level but also not endanger his life in the process
  15. is the mass start competitors dependent on one of the other competitions prior?
  16. Susan dunklee won medal in that just last year. Anything can happen in biathlon. Remember Lowell Bailey?
  17. I really like steep as well. However are you any good in the alpine events? While it is fun I don't seem to be able to get higher then like 2
  18. Did anyone play this game? i'm actually quite enjoying it, sure it have a pretty low number of events (downhill, giant slalom, slalom, super g, slopestyle, halfpipe, big air, snowboard/freestyle cross, snowboard slalom) but it's pretty fun from what it does have. Furthermore with ubisoft having this license we can hope for a proper tokyo game that didnt exist in rio
