  1. I wonder if Irma Testa will return to the 57 kg category? She was supposed to win a certain gold in Paris, but she was eliminated by the Chinese in her first round... Previously, she won gold at the World Championships in 2023. The boxing in Paris didn't go well for us, but it must be admitted that we probably didn't have probably any good contact with the judges... I don't know, were they so confident that they thought Testa and Abbes would win only based on their names and class?
  2. We have been in Gizycko and Wegorzewo.
  3. I recently watched on YouTube how the Third Reich tried to defend East Prussia against the advancing Red Army in the winter of 1945, but of course it was too late and they had no chance. And the terrain there is supposedly good for defense: lots of forests, lakes and rivers, etc. But of course you have no chance if someone has 10/15x1 more forces and you're fighting on two fronts.
  4. I read that Bhutan once had a large Nepalese minority—at that time abouy 30%? (30-40 years ago) and the Bhutanese authorities decided to simply get kick out this people to Nepal (removing their citizenship, banning the language from schools, etc.). The argument was that: the next few decades, this minority would dominate all of Bhutan civil life. Of course, Nepal alone has about 30-40 million people and Bhutan 700-800,000. I started reading about these countries after the news of Laura Dahlmeier's death in the high mountain in Pakistan. Nepal, of course, is Mount Everest and Bhutan is probably the only country in the 21st century to ban climbing their mountain peaks.
  5. Gdansk it`s close to Kaliningrad (150 km?)... A few years ago I and my brother were at the lakes in Poland, so close to the border with Kaliningrad - we even went there in the evening out of curiosity: everywhere was empty and dark But that was still before the war time.
  6. So, next be a Germany for most od probably.
  7. This is the first time I see someone from Finland here
  8. Is Eritrea taking part in these qualifiers?
  9. Signior Stefano Villa probabilmente ha confuso Lavia con Michieletto https://www.oasport.it/2025/09/volley-le-favorite-dei-mondiali-2025-polonia-in-pole-incognite-italia-e-francia-con-diverse-assenze/
  10. How would you politely call what Putin is doing with Trump about Ukraine/Poland etc?
  11. Putin just did a idiot for Trump Poland is the USA largest ally in the region. Even under sleeping Biden administration, situations like this haven't been.
  12. Tokio was good for us: 2 ind. medals, later we have a bronze in mixed team on 2023 World Champ but from last year we can`t win any medals, even bronze.
  13. For me, sometimes it`s good to go outside of your comfort zone, for exmaple, go to Italy and Japan for 1-2 years and became to Turkey. But of course there aren`t a easy decision, If you earn good money at home and you are popular and liked by the fans. In 1999, Francesca Piccinini went to Brazil at the age of 20 for a one year and later said that the trip gave her a lot in future cereer. Egonu also played in Turkey for one season in Vakifbank.
  14. This sport isn`t looking good in last time, why?
  15. SpainBut where is Italy?
  16. So, if Lenzi wins today, we will win our second medal here in Olympic category. A great result considering we are missing 3 of our top boxers (Testa, Carini and Abbes). I hope they will return in the future. We will also see if Charaabi, after beating the favorite from Turkey, can maintain this level and advance to the final, or if she loses to weaker boxer from the USA. In theory, the Italian would be even a chance for gold and certainly for the final, but Charaabi has never been consistently at a very high level for a long time. Bronze will certainly be a bit of disappointment in this situation.
  17. 10-1 against Austria, but unfortunately Spain also won and go through. So, we take one loss into the final stage. We'll need a win against NED/UK to keep our chances of reaching the grand final. I still don't understand how we could have lost to Spain...
  18. What I have see is that Turkish women are rarely travel to play outside of Turkey – now, practically no one plays abroad. There was also a period when Italian women only played at home, but now they're also traveling to Turkey, the USA, Japan, etc. What do you think about this?
  19. Probably bronze?
  20. Sure medal for her?
  21. Investing in Northern Cyprus has become quite fashionable lately (apartaments, houses etc). I know at least two people who have personally buy apartments there. In my opinion, it's quite risky, as the country is still not internationally recognized and I personally wouldn't buy anything there (even if I had the money). I think that you are a similar opinion about this?
  22. I know that, but for example in Libya there was also a dictatorship, but now it is not better, in fact it is worse. Btw.: Do you maybe remember the time of the right-wing military coup in Greece, or know anyone who lived there at that time? How is this short period of history viewed in Greece today?
  23. I'm curious if this is truly protest, or is someone messing around in these countries and trying to destabilize them? If the second case, who?
