What's the rule again only one person can qualify at this tournament per discipline? So if Canada qualified in the C1 200m they would need to choose between the C1 1000? But if Canada qualifies tomorrow in the K2 200 they can compete there?
Such a stupid rule if you ask me. You can only qualify one boat across each boat type (K1, C1, C2, K2)... And even then for canoeing you can qualify only 2 quotas maximum...

in women's K2 500
On a side note, if Canada also qualifies in the women's k1 200, can they send a K4 boat too (since they would have won 4 athlete quotas)?

Good news for Palau, looks like they received a wild card in wrestling.
Also Honduras in women's -48 freestyle... http://www.elheraldo.hn/deportes/polideportivo/960842-466/luchadora-hondure%C3%B1a-recibe-wild-card-para-asistir-a-los-juegos-ol%C3%ADmpicos-de
And also Haiti in men's -74 freestyle...
I don't get why some federations are so slow with updating the list of wild card athletes.
Haiti also got a wc for the Pan Am Games last year... lucky athlete

well too sad for Hungary, I dont want to start any polemics, but somehow I am not very persuated by the french performance today, I definitely will not say that they tried to play at their 100% at all, but well...
Hungary is relegated back in division I A. so both newcommers Kazakhstan and Hungary return back down, but must say that both teams were very great contribution to the competition, especially Hungary. they fight, team spirit, incredible amazing fans were great, very sad that they will not be in the party next year. pitty I would love to see the cinderella story continued.

Start lists for Pan American Championships & Qualification
I'll dare to post my predictions, but I hope any other user (especially the Canadians) can give some more insight:
Men C2: For me, it will be the spot should go either to Cuba or Mexico, since we are sending our best rowers in this boat, but I can count out the Canadians.
Men K1 1000m; It will be shock if Van Koeverden does not get the place,
Men
lol at the website,..copying wikipedia word for word on the Pan American Games (which is totally not related to this event).

I will submit in a few hours

If Latvia loses, they are relegated, right?

india in now reach a record 8 wrestlers ( equalling the 8 we had at 1984 los angeles)
This should be the record as back in 84 there was no qualification system (I think)

Canada did reject the K1 quota... So idk if that is reallocated to Usa

Wait, I Thought that if an Asian team will be alongside top 3, then it won't be counted as the best asian, but as one of the top 3 Teams in World Qualification Tournament, and the 2nd Asian team will therefore also qualify as the winner of Asian Qualification, regardless of what position they'll take ? I might be wrong, though. Man, these rules are so damn complicated this year... Hopefully next olympics wil have decent qulification process.
Its best asian team plus top 3 that qualify.
Meaning Canada needs to beat 2 of 3 Asian teams (the result they had at the World Cup, plus our best player who missed the continental qualifer is back too)

How come softball and baseball be in Tokyo 2020?but no Squash??
Because the two are much more popular than squash...
But Squash before surfing, climbing and skateboarding? That is just silly if you ask me...

I think Mary Kom is the favourite for the only tripartie invitation spot for Rio... in London every country which got wildcards were not eligible for them.
So hold out hope. Kom has a very good resume to be awarded a quota
