  1. Diving team for the 2023 World Championships has been announced https://www.cbc.ca/sports/olympics/summer/aquatics/diving/olympics-diving-canada-world-championship-team-1.6860917 Notably, no Toth or Erlam.
  2. Currently have subscriptions for King Of The Court, Volleyball TV, and Eurosport. That's pretty much it.
  3. My Schedule: FIVB Ostrava Elite16 Roland Garros Taekwondo World Championships FIBA 3x3 Basketball World Cup ISL Surf Games Women's Volleyball Nations League BWF Thailand Open Para Ice Hockey World Championships Brazilian Swimming Championships Bishkek Ranking Series Wrestling UCI BMX Racing World Cup Equestrian Dressage Group C Olympic Qualifier Modern Pentathlon World Cup Final WA Diamond League Florence WA Continental Tour Hengelo NBA Finals NHL Stanley Cup Final African Mountain Biking Championships (Need to find a link first though. If anyone can help me with that, it would be much appreciated.) Mel Zajac Swim Meet (Going to watch this event live, and with it featuring MacNeil/Liendo, surely we'll see some fast times being posted. I'll try to share some pictures with my fellow Totallympians after I go) More will be added soon probably, and there are a couple of swim/athletic meets that I probably haven't come across yet, but will try and make time to watch
  4. Elite16 in Ostrava, Czech Republic starting tomorrow with qualifiers, here's the entry list for the event https://en.volleyballworld.com/beachvolleyball/competitions/beach-pro-tour/2023/elite16/ostrava-cze/teams/men/by-country https://en.volleyballworld.com/beachvolleyball/competitions/beach-pro-tour/2023/elite16/ostrava-cze/teams/women/main-draw
  5. Dodging Kerley again
  6. Other names to watch out for (Thanks @Laraja) include Aboubakr Bouaouda , Cherif Fall , Guilherme Fonseca , Guilherme Ribeiro , Luke Dillon , Nadia Erostarbe , Ariane Torres , Gonzalo Gutierrez , Dylan Groen , Leon Glatzer , Kaspar Hamminga , Lucy Campbell , Anat Leilor , Emily Gussoni , Giada Legati , Mirna Boelsma , Camilla Kemp , Zoe Steyn , Kailani Johnson , Taina Izquierdo , Shino Matsuda
  7. Extremely bored so I'm gonna try to predict who will win the quotas, I'd say Fierro Huscenot Hareb Stairmand Tsuzuki Waida Baum Boukhiam Let's see how off my predictions are in a week
  8. I don't watch surfing as frequently as some of you, but I catch some action from time to time. Here's what I think. Europe (Women)- Noa Leilor Vahine Fierro Pauline Ado Noah Klapp Rachel Presti Francesca Veselko Yolanda Sequiera Europe (Men)- Maxime Huscenot Joan Duru Kauli Vaast Leonardo Fioravanti Frederico Morais Aritz Aranburu Oceania (Women) - Paige Hareb Oceania (Men) - Billy Stairmand Asia (Women) - Amuro Tsuzuki Mahina Maeda Asia (Men) - Rio Waida Kanoa Igarashi Africa (Women) - Sarah Baum Africa (Men) - Ramzi Boukhiam Jordy Smith Matthew McGillivray This is taking into account that Australia qualifies two athletes (per gender) for the 2024 Olympics through WSL. Women are guaranteed, while men are highly likely.
  9. Canada respond from their shock defeat to Czech Republic earlier today, defeating United States 16-13. By the way, United States was up 7-1 early in that match, but after that, it all went downhill for them. Overall though a pretty ugly effort by both teams IMO. M. Plouffe led all scorers with 8 points.
  10. Czech Republic defeats Canada 20-18 in OT, for the first match of the World Cup. Galíčková, lead all scorers with 9pts and made the game-winning shot. A terrible performance for Canada, with uncharacteristic missed layups by all four of them (Crozon, Bosch, Plouffe, Plouffe).
  11. 2024 Paralympics Quotas from the recent Para Shooting World Cup, in Changwon, Korea in men’s 10m air pistol SH1, via Xiaolong Lou in women’s 10m air pistol SH1, via Gaelle Edon in mixed 10m air rifle prone SH1, via Juan Antonio Saavedra Reinaldo in men’s 50m rifle 3 positions SH1, via Jiangjie Xu/Atidet Intanon in mixed 10m air rifle standing SH2, via Ayesha Alshamsi/Seon Huntae in women’s 10m air rifle standing SH1, via Anna Benson in men’s 10m air rifle standing SH1, via Park Jinho in mixed 25m pistol SH1, via Huang Xing in women's 50m rifle 3 positions, via Cuiping Zhang/Huanyu Xie in mixed 50m rifle prone SH2, via Andrea Liverani/Pamela Novaglio in mixed 10m air rifle prone SH2, via Dongil Kim/Akiko Sega in mixed 50m rifle prone SH2, via Saif Alnuaimi/Chutima Arunmat
  12. Forgot to mention, silver medalists B-Girl Sunny and B-Boy Jeffro have also qualified for the 2024 Olympic Qualifier Series.
  13. Despite Fernandez's terrible start to the clay court season (And season overall) Fernandez has shown she can contend for titles on this surface, going far at Roland Garros in 2022 beating the likes of Anisimova, Bencic, Siniakova. She lost in the quarterfinals to Trevisan in 3, but she got injured part way throughout the second set, Fernandez obviously deciding to keep playing, being the fighter that she is, so the fact that the she managed to win the second set is mind blowing. (By the way, if you're curious the scoreline was 6-2, 6-7 (3), 6-3. My point is, Linette was the favourite, but you would be pretty stupid to count out Fernandez.
  14. FAA ended up losing 6-4, 6-4, 6-3 to Fognini Yet again, another early exit for him. To be fair though, he's still recovering from his recent Lyon Open shoulder injury, and frankly wasn't expecting him to be competing so soon. Then again though, FAA has had a terrible start to the clay court season (R64 Madrid Open, R64 Italian Open, QF Lyon Open, R128 Roland Garros), only managing to win a single match against a player ranked outside the top 200, and clay historically has been his least favorite surface (At least in terms of results, maybe with 2022 as an exception), so I'm unsure as to whether he'd be doing damage fully healthy. He has the talent to contend with the best, he just can't seem to find consistency. I mean, this same FAA took Rafa to five sets at RG last year (R16). IMO Fontang needs to go
  15. Team Canada (W: 3, M: 3, T: 6) Women Erin Brooks Mathea Dempfle-Olin Sanoa Dempfle-Olin Men Cody Young Levi Young Wheeler Hasburgh
  16. Anyone have a link to the entry lists?
  17. Team Canada Women's 3x3 Team Paige Crozon Kacie Bosch Michelle Plouffe Katherine Plouffe They're back After a dominant 2022 season for this team (With their only real "blip" if you can even call it that, being silver at the 3X3 World Cup) I'm really hoping we can win gold this time around But it certainly won't come easy, as you'll most likely have to defeat reigning World Cup champions France, and of course you also have the likes of Australia, Germany, China, Spain, United States, etc. who could also challenge for the podium.
  18. Team Canada (W: 8, M: 8, T: 16) Women Angelique Orozco (-46kg) Viviane Tranquille (-49kg) Megan Brewster (-53kg) Skylar Park (-57kg) Ashley Kraayeveld (-62kg) Natalie Iliesco (-67kg) Sofie Nicholson (-73kg) Rachel Fountain (+73kg) Men Nicholas Hoefling (-54kg) Braven Park (-58kg) Shane Britton (-63kg) Tae-Ku Park (-68kg) Charlelie Mercier (-73kg) Cedric Ndzouli (-80kg) Ethienne Brunet (-87kg) Marc-Andre Bergeron (+87kg)

  23. Ryan Crouser 23.56m men's shot put WR at the USATF Los Angeles Grand Prix
  24. Damian Warner leads the decathlon after Day 1 of Hypomeeting Gotzis, with 4531 points. His compatriot Pierce Lepage sits in second place (4513), while Ashley Moloney (4497) sits in third place. Simon Ehammer after three no marks (XXX) in long jump, has put himself out of contention for the title. He pushed Warner to the title last year, and also ending up setting a new Swiss record in the process. Meanwhile, in the heptathlon Anna Hall (4172) is having a exceptional performance (Watch out for her come US Olympic Trials/Paris 2024, she seems to be setting new PB's every time she competes), way ahead of second place Adrianna Sulek (3936) and Katarina Johnson-Thompson (3930) in third. Reigning Olympic silver medalist Anouk Vetter is currently in seventh (3810).
