  1. Fred Kerley DQ’d in the men’s 100m! Obvious false start, but given that the event is in the United States didn’t think the refs would let that happen. Edit: Never mind he withdrew because he wasn’t happy with his lane
  2. 7.14m!!! Tara Davis-Woodhall is on another level in women’s long jump
  3. Great series for her. 19.28m in the 1st round, 20.15m in the 2nd round, 19.80m in the 3rd round, 19.75m in the 4th round, and 20.07m in the 6th round.
  4. Opposite for me (60-40 Slovenia), but we’ll see What I think we can both agree on is that these teams are quite even (for the most part), so I’m also basing this off of Greece’s recent failures at Olympic qualification in 2016 and 2021.
  5. I saw that article too, although I’m not sure how accurate it is. Shapovalov has been playing at grass Challengers lately, why would he play in them if he was injured?
  6. Django Lovett with a 2.18m SB in men’s high jump! (competition still ongoing) He’s been struggling with injuries lately (at least according to the commentators), so it’s good to see him not only back and competing, but clearing marks like these. Edit: Close last attempt at 2.23m, but not to be (they didn’t show the first two)
  7. Ouch. Nothing going right for Thompson-Herah this season 9th in the women’s 100m in 11.48.
  8. Dendy’s bucket hat is back!
  9. 2:02.80 for Aurora Rynda in the women’s 800m. Not bad, probably will improve her position on the Road to Paris, but not enough to make much of a difference.
  10. 20.15m for Sarah Mitton in the 2nd round of women’s shot put at the New York Grand Prix!
  11. Ostrava Elite16 | Ostrava, Czech Republic Women’s Tournament Gold- Kelly Cheng/Sara Hughes Silver- Melissa Humana-Parades/Brandie Wilkerson Bronze- Anastasija Samoilova/Tina Graudina Duda/AP struggled a lot during this tournament, but yet still somehow managed to record a 4th place finish. Men’s Tournament Gold- David Åhman/Jonatan Hellvig Silver- Stefan Boermans/Yorrick de Groot Bronze- Miles Partain/Andy Benesh Mol/Sørum finish 4th in their return to competition. Full Results Up next, Continental Olympic Qualifying Tournaments, then the Gstaad Elite16 from July 3-7!
  12. They really should think of a better way to record marks in field events… (besides pole vault and high jump of course)
  13. FIH Nations League was on the last week. Canada men started off with a 4-0 loss to France (bad result), then lost 8-1 to Pakistan (they were 1-0 up), then lost 4-2 to Malaysia. Followed that up with two consecutive wins though, 2-1 over Austria, and 2-1 over South Korea. Canada women started off with a 3-0 loss to Japan, then a 3-0 loss to Chile, then a 2-0 loss to New Zealand. Finally got a win, as they defeated South Korea 3-2. Then a narrow 1-0 loss to Japan.
  14. “ couple Partain/Benesh” Do the commentators know something we don’t?
  15. Silver for Melissa Humana-Parades/Brandie Wilkerson at the Ostrava Elite16, losing to Cheng/Hughes in 3. Humana-Parades was horrible offensively, she couldn’t make a kill for the majority of the match, and Cheng/Hughes serving Wilkerson for part of it (no reason whatsoever) was pretty much what kept them in it.
  16. I can’t see him not playing given the stakes (even if he plays a game 7 in the NBA Finals), and how much he likes to play for his country in international competition, but you’re right. BTW in no way am I saying that Greece has no chance or anything like that (of course they could win the quota), Ben’s reply was taking about the favourites in each of the tournaments.
  17. Welp…. Silver it is for Offensively, Humana-Parades was meh. Couldn’t buy a kill for the majority of the match.
  18. A Slovenia with Doncic is better than a Greece with Antetokounpo.
  19. is probably favourite over but otherwise I agree
  20. But according to Wikipedia (not always accurate of course) and the French federation, Camille Prigent has qualified already.
  21. @hckošice are you sure about that? Prigent has already qualified, and I’m sure there’s other names too.
  22. What is going on with Duda So many uncharacteristic errors for her in Ostrava so far, first in the quarterfinals, and now in the semifinals.
  23. Well even though we probably have about a 0% chance of winning a quota, maybe a whole bunch of the favourites will miss the gates or get 15 time penalties
