First of all, US has been struggling so I wouldn’t be surprised to see Netherlands upsetting them. Second of all, if that does indeed happen, it would require us to probably beat Netherlands 3-0 (potentially 3-1, depending on sets against the other opponents) and we always play 5-setters against them. Third of all, we’ve been playing horribly the last couple of weeks (especially in our last 2 games against Serbia and Italy), unlike week 1 where our attacking stats were way up (and even in the 4-set loss to Brazil, both teams played really well, Canada just ran out of gas near the end) We’ll need to be about 1 point behind Netherlands at worst entering each nations final match, as a sweep over France awards more points than South Korea, but I don’t even think it’ll be close at that point.

And it’s official. Well good fight by (at least during week 1) but in the end wanted it more.
