  1. Ellie Black and Aurelie Tran secure their spots on the Canadian Olympic squad for women’s artistic gymnastics through the Canadian Championships, as the top two all-around finishers.
  2. Ugh. defeat 3-1… We’ve already qualified for the Olympics, but I still want to grab as many points as possible for seeding purposes.
  3. Luburic is so good, damn.
  4. Well this isn’t going well for 12-3 run…
  5. Maybe Athletics Canada will gather our strongest runners at Olympic Trials to try and record a qualifying time, but it’s quite unlikely IMO.
  6. Canada’s men’s team tied FRANCE (yes, France!!) 0-0 in a pre Copa America friendly earlier today!! Signing Jesse Marsh might just have been the best thing Canada Soccer have ever done. Edit: I will add that this was a French A-team. Canada created some solid scoring opportunities too, it’s not like France was controlling 90% of the match. @George_D
  7. Wait huh? tied 0-0 in a pre Copa America friendly earlier today!! Best result ever for Canada’s men’s national team I would think?
  8. Gold medalist in the women’s 3000m steeplechase Pinot DQ’d for stepping over the track line. French Federation is appealing. New podium: Gürth, Bird, Rutto. French appeal is successful, and Pinot gets her gold medal. @Bohemia @Benolympique
  9. 4th for Van Der Weken No first ever women’s medal for Luxembourg at a European Athletics Championships.
  10. Favourite Irish athlete and isn’t in the favourite athletes section of your bio?
  11. Next thing you know, the whole Championships is going to get appealed
  12. Not yet updated on the IJF Olympic Ranking site, but I’m pretty sure it’ll be confirmed by the next update. Calculations were made by @Pasolini
  13. Yes, that’s correct. Only judo I’ll be watching is if any Canadians make the medal matches. Otherwise I’m prioritizing other sports.
  14. Two golds in a row for on the track!! Finot takes the women’s 3000m steeplechase title, and Tual takes the men’s 800m title!
  15. 80.95m for Nowicki in the 6th and final round of the men’s hammer throw final!
  16. 14.85m for Peleteiro in the 4th round of the women’s triple jump final! Really finding her Tokyo form this year.
  17. Mahuchikh over 2.01m in the women’s jump final! Won’t attempt any further marks. Quite surprised.
  18. Excellent final in men’s hammer throw so far. 2 athletes over 80m, 5 over 78m, and 8 over 75m.
  19. 19.77 for Noah Lyles in the men’s 200m into a headwind. As a DeGrasse fan, I’m worried
  20. 10.96 for Asher-Smith in the women’s 100m semifinals! NR’s for as well!
  21. So, another update on this. Looks like she’ll qualify after all. Also, Kelly Deguchi has officially qualified for Paris. Would’ve preferred Frascadore, but it is what it is
  22. 48.75 (of course goes without saying that it’s a WL) for Sydney McLaughlin in the women’s 400m. HOLY. SHIT. Edit: 0.05 off the NR by Sanya Richard-Ross as well
  23. My reaction to finding out that Sydney McLaughlin is actually competing in a race
