  1. Oh I agree, but I think the main reason why I want it on the program is more medal potential (Canada has that, while Netherlands does not)
  2. Never saw this until now, but yeah… no thanks (and this is coming from a massive volleyball fan, even para so) I wouldn’t mind ice climbing, but there’s a couple sports and events (like FreeRide, telemark skiing, and team ski cross) that I’d probably add before.
  3. I would rather all runs be scored, honestly, regardless of the second point.
  4. Laura Ludwig (beach volleyball)
  5. Patrick Anderson has officially retired
  6. Gold and bronze for Brendan MacKay and Andrew Longino in men’s halfpipe at the Cadrona WC as well!
  7. Halfpipe WC Cadrona, New Zealand Women Gold- Eileen Gu (96.00) Silver- Kexin Zhang (89.25) Bronze- Rachael Karker (87.00) Men Gold- Brendan MacKay (90.00) Silver- Alex Ferreira (89.50) Bronze- Andrew Longino (87.75) Full Results
  8. According to FIS, DNI means did not improve… why can’t they just give them scores instead? Am I missing something? Don’t think I’ve ever seen this before.
  9. Bronze for Rachael Karker at the season opening halfpipe WC in Cardona! Disappointment for Cassie Sharpe as she bows out in qualification with no clean runs (she was visibly upset after her final run, nice gesture from her some of fellow competitors to console her)
  10. Gu is simply unstoppable
  11. And a 21-18 loss to the Netherlands in the semifinals, by far their worst performance of the season. Ugh.
  12. 4th for Brianna Hennessy and for our women’s wheelchair basketball team. Game isn’t over but the lead is too much to overcome.
  13. Women’s wheelchair basketball team down 13-31 to in the bronze medal match, seriously we’re better than this
  14. Canada down 11-19 to China after the 1st quarter of this bronze medal match.
  15. Mathieu St-Pierre through to the final in men’s VL2-200m!
  16. Brianna Hennessy through to the final in women’s KL1-200m!
  17. And another one! 252kg from Gharibshahi, just 2kg shy of the WR
  18. Another PR! 248kg and the reigning Paralympic champion Enkhbayaryn takes the lead!
  19. Gharibshari with a new PR of 247 kgs!
  20. First time I’ve ever watched powerlifting
  21. 18-15 loss to Italy
  22. Two more medal chances to go on the final day of the Paralympics, as we attempt to match our best ever finish since Beijing 2008 (London 2012 was 31) Women’s wheelchair basketball team takes on China for bronze at 1:30am PST/4:30 AM EST and Brianna Hennessy goes for her second medal of these Paralympics in women’s KL1-200m at 2:25 AM PST/5:25 AM EST.
  23. Men’s team defeated US 2-1 in an international friendly earlier today!
  24. Nicholas Bennett and Brianna Hennessy have been named as Canada’s closing ceremony flagbearers.
