Shouldn't the
be amazing and dominant at this like in women's water polo? I am quite surprised by how this is going.
Nope, their golden era is over. Alex Morgan is 32yo and Rapinoe & Lloyd are simply too old to even make the starting line-up. USA doesn't have a new superstar. One may argue the best player on their team is the goalkeeper.

Blackstenius wasted another chance

Well it's true that Brisbane was a fait accompli but it is a very good choice .
By far the best Olympics in my lifetime was Sydney so I 'd say they are very good at these things
The major Australian cities already have great sporting infrastructure
Brisbane is sub tropical so their "winter " is like a Northern European summer
It's been 69 years since northern Europe last hosted SOG
IOC is running out of ideas after Brisbane if they want to block Qatar from hosting SOG. Flexing it between USA, France, UK and Australia every four times won't cut it anymore.

Not much of that in the beginning!
Well, I didn't expect Sweden to run all over USA so far.
The US dominance in women's soccer is set to end in this decade for sure and Sweden should be 3-0 up after 30 mins already.
-
Geez, everyone knew that for months already. The selection proccess has been rendered so irrelevant it's no wonder only the Gulf states really want to stage the Olympics.

Sweden - USA
Probabily the best match of the group stage
Probably another tactical 0-0 boredom tbh. You don't go all-in in the first game of the tournament.

Shoot! The bet contest had a question about cannabis, not cocaine!

Munich might be an option if the European Championships are successful
No chance. The Munich/Ga-Pa 2022 OG bid was voted down by the locals in 2013 already.

I'm happy for the Bucks. One of the teams that would never get any mention if not for Giannis.

Yeah, this looks like a PR move to cover the political shitstorm after the Games end.

I suspect quite a lot of international dignitaries will pull out. I can see Jill Biden suddenly cancelling her trip for example.
Who cares about political VIPs anyway? This is literally the last thing on my mind. Japan's impact on global economy is too big so any sort of political boycott doesn't stand a chance anyway.

And most current cases are ones that have been caught outside of Tokyo. The gymnast is over 70km away in another city while the others have likely caught it before departing or on the journey.
Jaoan should have pushed it back to 2022 and then got the IOC to move all future games by two years,
Not gonna happen. The TV money contracts have been paid already. I'm not even gonna talk about sponsors. No way IOC can afford to cancel the games and give back money.

Oosthuizen collapsed on the final day and dropped to 3rd. Collin Morikawa wins becoming the first man ever to win multiple majors on first attempt!

When you're that good you shouldn't care what others think
Maybe so, but people rarely admire arrogance.
Besides it doesn't fit with the activism image Hamilton tries to build lately. If he doesn't care what people think then don't be surprised that people ignore his social crusade. BLM is as good as out of the mainstream flow already.
-
Humble? Hamilton said he doesn't care what people think. He is anything but humble.
-
And he blames Verstappen for the crash. What an absolute twat. Horner is fuming and Marko wants him suspended. Hell yeah, the payback is coming at Hamilton sooner than you can say Silverstone. I believe he really thinks he's better than everyone else around him. Another spoiled entitled brat.
-
Hamilton got a 10 secs penalty for this collision. LeClerc leads the race after 23/52 laps.
-
Hamilton vs Verstappen crash on the first lap of British GP. Verstappen is out, Hamlton gets away unscathed. It was about time we had a Senna vs Prost controversy in action
