  2. After three hours of reading and cheering I finally got through this another successful edition of TISC. First of all, congratulations to GB for another win, I was the first (and for quite a long time only one) to give them 12 points. Next, thank you to all, who gave points to our song, especially to , giving us maximum possible. I was quite surprised, knowing Slovenian language is quite complexed for most of you, but this is one more proof music is still no.1 in your hearts, as well as in mine. @mihamiha, thank you for choosing Nina Pušlar, she is one of my favourite singers, so it was not hard to go with your choice. I am not so often on this site, but some things never changed. Soon you will see a table with results put in official Eurovision style, so without 11 and 9 points. I can't wait for next contest, I believe I already have a song chosen, will just have to beat my fellow member from Slovenia. Till next time wishing you a lot of musical enjoyment!

  7. Thank you to everyone who has made this contest so special! But it is sadly time to bring the contest to a close, but its for long, as Tunisia we relight the flame in just a few months time! But as Elton John puts it, Friends Never Say Goodbye, so we will see you all in Tunisia!

  14. And with that we say goodbye to Brighton. But as we leave Britain to head on to our next hosts there's a chance for a whistlestop tour! We begin with a flying visit in London our urban capital! Heading North to Scotland, a region of stunning natural beauty: And finishing in the only natural way, on our breathtaking coast: Goodbye Totallympics - we've loved having you! But up next its the turn of Tunisia and Brazil!

  15. Yeah! The team were fantastic! I never throught we'd make it out of Division 1B after so many missed opportunities - hopefully we can stay in 1 A for a little while now!

  16. THE SPORT Brighton might not automatically spring to mind when you think of British sport, but there are a few suprises in store .. But nothing can sum up Brighton's sport better than the Miracle in Brighton! There has also been a craze of race walking, but not just 50km, no that's for weaklings they do 165 kilometres! Sadly the craze has rather changed in Brighton, they now seem to like running whilst being pelted with paints instead! But there is one sport that dominates all in Brighton and Sussex - take Cricket, Rounders and middle aged women - mix them up and stir it around and what have you got - Stoolball! It is hugely popular in Sussex, most villages have a team and I can admit it is great fun to play and much more exciting than cricket or baseball/softball. I am counting down the days until it is added to the Olympic programme once the IOC realise their pursuit of increased youth appeal has put off some elderly fans - this would bring them flocking back!

  17. THE PIER You will have all seen it, been on it, probably had a seagull attack you on it and nearly fallen off it! But that's why we love Brighton Pier! Yes, this one! The one that's not burnt down! In fact, very little is known about why it burnt down, the person was never caught, but nevertheless it remains as a derelict landmark along our beautiful coastline. But this is Brighton, people don't just walk along the pier, no! They jump over it... And of course, they dance on it...

  18. We will now celebrate a whole series of new records achieved at this contest! And where could you imagine a better place to break record than Brighton, where the record for the most number of people to be fitted inside a classic Mini Cooper car was broken (with 27) and where the most people ever re-enacted Kate Bush's iconic Wuthering Heights video!! Brighton's attempt at Beijing 2008 mass participation style performances in ceremonies clearly needs a little more work on synchronisation - but their heart was in the right place! The first records are for... NEW NATIONAL RECORDS

  39. I love how the forum comes alive with these contests. Unfortunately i wasn't able to be here yesterday to join in, but was able to peep here and there to see how things went. It's a lot of fun and a bit tiring to go through 100+ pages. A big thanks to everyone that voted for Bulgaria. Next time in the Open contest, i'd make time for a larger participation, already have a few songs on my mind. Congrats to all the medalists and especially to GB and @uk12points for an excellent contest and a well deserved win after all the hard work he put in. Let's see if he will have the desire to do it all again next year. Also it is a bit strange that from all 3 medalists i didn't vote for neither of them.

  42. Congratulations Great Britain on another victory, very well deserved!! Huge personal congrats goes to uk12points for delivering a wonderful show, really top class hosting! And thanks for all the time and effort you dedicated to give us this great day of entertainment I was only dipping in and out in the last voting segments and didn't want to miss thanking anyone who voted for Ireland. I didn't get time to check all individually but I want to thank dearly and for adding to our total . If I missed anyone I am truly sorry. Disappointing day for Ireland this time. Two Door Cinema Club didn't strike a chord with the international juries this time and clearly I will need to try something different next time . But as always there are winners and losers so big congrats to all the big winners this time... to GB on their second TISC victory and to for a stunning bronze medal success And my final note goes to the silver medal winners Brazil..... "Hear Me Now" was an amazing choice of song and by coincidence I heard the song for the first time in the same week that it was nominated for representation here at TISC! Absolutely loved it and as Wanderer said earlier, this definitely was right on the mark in terms of my taste. Thanks to all for a fun-filled contest, as always I enjoyed your company and looking forward to TISC Open in Tunisia later this year. I'm going back to the bar now to rejoin Séamus, apparently there is a free-bar courtesy of our kind hosts so come join us if you want to continue the party

  44. wow 4th place ! and just 1 point away from the podium. have to say I didn't expect that at all. actually I would be happy with just not finishing last to me that was a very good music but I didn't expect non-Persian speakers to vote for that. I was somehow following the thread in evening, was kind of busy to write anything myself but that was fun, thanks everybody who voted for Iran

  45. I agree with all OlympicsFan has said about english language, but I don't think there's anything we can do honestly... some users (most of the time the younger ones) like english language songs too much.
