Also schedulling needs to be improved (mainly Artistic Gymnastics ind apparatus finals) and in the end - a new medal table will be published. SPOILERS ALERT - When i finish, you won't need to watch the games because you know the results already

  11. Yeah, I´ll give you this one, it was about time for Americas to have some games in normal hours, no problem with that I just do not understand WHY they have to schedule all events-all finals of all sports at the very same exact time ? who came with this epochally amazing idea ? Biathlon and alpine skiing and ski jumping finals at same time short track, snowboarding and luge finals as well... a couple of minutes later nada only 3vs3 girls hockey the rest of the afternoon. That just sounds brilliant to me

  15. one of the easiest panel of choices so far... Men's Ski Cross... Frederic Chappuis is the man that won a world title, more world medals, the most world cup races in the male division, therefore he has to be my pick. Women's Ski Cross...that's even unfair to the other nominèes, the only reasonable choice is Sandra Naeslund. Biathlon, Men's Mass Start...the only really close battle, Martin Fourcade vs Johannes Boe. I go with the Norwegian. Biathlon, Women's Mass Start... Magdalena Neuner is undoubtably the GOAT in this sport, I just can't pick anyone else. Short Track, Women's 3000m Relay...6 gold medals in 9 Games (even if the 2018 one was a gigantic robbery ) speak for themselves...this is THE South Korean event par excellence.

  21. Some interesting news found on our Polish olympic forum tylko-igrzyska: The World Athletics Council also approved that seeding for the first round of relay competition at the Paris Olympic Games be determined at the World Athletics Relays Bahamas 24. The event in The Bahamas will automatically qualify 14 teams to Paris, but Council has confirmed that the finishing order of the top eight teams in the Bahamas finals will, additionally, determine first round seeding rights to the best lanes for Paris 2024. https://worldathletics.org/news/press-releases/decisions-made-233rd-world-athletics-council-meeting-monaco

  22. Peaty probably needs the 'reps'. The men's 4 x 1 team is the major one, as they don't have a time yet following the DQ in 2023 - I think they're probably safe in most of the other relays on time rankings, including men's and mixed medley. All the same...

  23. James Guy has said all along he won't go but it's a shame Peters didn't take up the offer so they can field a men's medley relay. Will be most interesting to see if Peaty is moving towards his best form again.

  26. Woaah, Naeslund had a huge lead with just a couple of gates to go, then inexplicably headed straight down the hill and missed a gate! She got bronze because the fourth place rider had disappeared before her.

  29. Hi all - new to this site and very much enjoyed all of those predictions. I can speak specifically on the British hopes and I would say that I was very surprised to see Charlotte Dujardin not being predicted to medal in the individual dressage. Her recent tests on ImHoTop have been magnificent and she has been there done that multiple times at Olympics. The GB team will also include Charlotte Fry and I would be surprised if they did not claim Gold in the team event. GB have strong teams in the rowing (this has really rebounded since disappointment of Tokyo) and swimming, and even cycling has strengthened in last 12 months. Very excited for the games! I'll be out there for all 3 weeks. Bring it on!
