During an interview with our athlete the reporter of our federation site claimed ITU announced last week there will be no Tripartite invitation in the W event. and 2 other girls from world ranking will qualify instead.

Anyone has info if it is true ?

Currently the only tripartite eligible athlete which has met the minimum criteria is :BER Flora Duffy and she'll qualify normally. Likewise currently no men have reached the minimum criteria so unless someone steps up there won't be any tripartite quotas in triathlon.

Edit: Here is the minimum criteria

Being among the top 180 in the ITU World Ranking for the qualification places of ITU World Ranking and Tripartite Commission Invitation.

Hm, I guess someone at HOC was a bit impatient. :d

Yeah, well, it is not a competition of the highest value, not too many points will be awarded, so rather it is a race for the competitors who are on the verge of qualification and non-qualification. Your quotas in other hand should be basically safe, so maybe that's the reason why your NOC is already counting them.

For :IRL Carolyn Hayes was in the ‘new flags’ positions until this weekend but she’s moved up in the rankings as is no longer travelling to Mexico

Russell White is in the last qualifying spot so he’s travelling. It really does seem like the top 45 are all safe

For SVK it is obviously the final of the finals, so both athletes will go to Huatalco with totally different tasks :d Romana will want to do everything possible and impossible to stay in that last qualifying place ,in other words controling athletes behind her in the ranking, meanwhile Richard will have a real do-or-die race...he must show his best performance of the whole cycle and try the impossible, to erase the hundred point difference he has actually to the last qualifier..too hard I fear.
