It's fair to question that she can compete as a woman despite having advantages over other woman due to her having some internal male physical characteristics.

Definitely not fair to call her a cheater though. She has done nothing wrong.

Exactly.

So people are writing about marathon athletes qualified for Tokyo 2020, then a newbie registers and immediately finds a way to start their campaign against Semenya and others who have nothing to do with marathon and Tokyo 2020. :mumble:

Yes and that can end up being a bit problematic for World Athletics (fomerly known as IAAF) as @Johne has tweeted.

Yeah, but on the other hand Marathon is the event where it's most likely that several athletes will withdraw. For example Farah is probably already out for the Marathon.

For anyone interested, here's what my prediction model suggests on medal chances for each event in athletics. I may have to change to a hybrid model for long distance (5000m, 10000m, walks and marathon) events as quite often the pace/strategy is different in each race. The low number of competitions for some athletes caused a couple of weird results so hopefully they continue to compete in 2020. Below are the athletes with a greater than 50% chance at winning the gold medal in an event.

:RSA Caster Semenya - Women's 800m - 99.21%

:GBR Katarina Johnson-Thompson - Women's Heptathlon - 81.91%

:SWE Daniel Stahl - Men's Discus Throw - 79.45%

:ETH Kenenisa Bekele - Men's Marathon - 74.30%

:VEN Yulimar Rojas - Women's Triple Jump - 69.93%

:BAH Shaunae Miller-Uibo - Women's 400m - 69.11%

:USA United States - Men's 4x400m Relay - 64.21%

:POL Pawel Fajdek - Men's Hammer Throw - 62.18%

:USA United States - Women's 4x400m Relay - 57.65%

:USA Will Claye - Men's Triple Jump - 55.80%

:GER Malaika Mohambo - Women's Long Jump - 55.50%

:KEN Brigid Kosgei - Women's Marathon - 52.18%

:BAH Shaunae Miller-Uibo - Women's 200m - 51.51%

:NOR Karsten Warholm - Men's 400m Hurdles - 50.75%

Is this correct?

    • If anyone is interested, here is a link to a GeoGuessr Challenge.   It's in single player. There are 5 rounds total, and you have to pinpoint on a map as close as you can to the actual location that you spawned at. For this particular challenge, you have a time limit of 10 minutes per round and you can move as much as you want.   Since this is Totallympics, thought this particular map would be an appropriate theme. There is a flag at the start of each location that's supposed to help you identify where you are.   You can do this challenge at any time (no need to coordinate times with other users) and you only need a regular account, not a premium account.

    • The 6 teams is very disappointing, but I think there would be no chance the MLB would allow players is the competition took the entire length of the Olympics. Giving players one week off is manageable, two weeks is near impossible from the MLB perspective.   IOC probably had to decide between having 8-12 teams w/o MLB players or 6 teams with possibly having MLB players.
