How do you judge whether you are on track or not?

I referred to that definitely gold medal and probably any medal was not realistic for Hosszu this time so its not a big surprise.

If Milak fails to medal, that would be a big surprise

Masse lays it down!  OR!

A very good heats. Two records. Kathleen Dawson looks to be be in form needed for a medal chance in the mixed relay as she was fourth after the record breakers.

I sense an upset Through and think at least one of the record breakers will miss out on a medal.

It'll be quite a battle for the podium.  IMO Masse laid off at the end because she was so far ahead in her heat. The others weren't as so far ahead.

The heats today are wild.

I can’t quite see Scott winning a medal in what is GB’s second best hope of an individual medal and the only faintly possible chance of an individual gold by any but Peaty.

    • Regarding the swimming they have added the 800m for men and the 1500m for women so cutting numbers would be odd.
    • That quota I’ve been told by an athlete aiming to qualify who I know online.
    • Has the quota for Canada been offically confirmed anyway, or is that just a rumour? I can't find anything on google about it (nor the suggested quota for England's athletes someone posted earlier).   12 per gender would make sense (it's roughly what Canada sent to Birmingham). 12 overall seems dumb.
    • Some sports have qualification systems   3x3 basketball (wheelchair) Para-cycling Powerlifting Weightlifting
    • In the past few games, Canada (and other nations) was given an overall athlete quota which they then divided it through the various sports.
    • Whose decision was this, Team Canada's or the Organising committes?
