Year 2017: our girl beats Kirpichnikova and Sullivan comprehensively in the 1500m at Junior WCh. All of them were born few months apart in 2000.

 

Year 2021: our girl, after rejecting scholarship in USA and deciding to remain here, finishes almost last in the whole competition. Sullivan wins a medal while the russian is 7th.

 

No wonder we don't have any medals
