Are the target sprint events just grand prix or will they show in the medal totals ? ...... will make a lot of difference to the overall medal table

on the ISSF website they're listed as regular competitions, not just Grand Prix events...

therefore, I expect them to be included in the final medal table...

What is Target Sprint?

It's more or less the same thing as the combined event in Modern Pentathlon (the difference being that in this case they use fire weapons instead of laser pistols)...

The competition is held over 6*200m laps with three shooting sessions (Running Target shooting, as the name of the event says)...

Just checked on https://www.issf-sports.org/competitions/venue.ashx?cshipid=1750  ....... these medals are not going to be included to total apparently ...helps us keep ahead of Germany and Hopefully by tomorrow take India into the third place

    • Hope so (for my adopted country, Norway, that is). Torino 2006 was the first Winter Olympics I followed closely and it was nothing short of a disaster for Norway. Strangely enough, that was actually the reason I became an avid fan of Norwegian winter sports and have been ever since. As for my actual home country, Greece, a medal for Ginnis in slalom (alpine skiing) would be a miracle.
