Quotas for :RUS:UKR:GER:TPE in women's 25m pistol.

Monika Karsch finishes 5th... Looks like she plans to continue her pre-Rio trend of having million near-misses qualificationwise.

If it ends like in Rio, I'm okay with it. :p

So Russia won quota in mixed pistol team and both Chernousov and Batsarashkina won individual quotas so they can exchange this quotas or what?

They can do whatever they want now, just add 1 more male and female in the pistol individual events and form and enter two teams in the mixed event, but if they succeed to qualify directly someone else, they can and likely will just exchange a quota for another shooter in a event they failed to qualify the max number

just another day to forget for Italy...

this time it really looks we can only win some medals in Junior and/or "abandoned" events...:facepalm:

meanwhile, in the events that really matter, amazing final in the women's 25m pistol, where Batsarashkina first wasted a 5-shot advantage midway through the final and then lost to Kostevych after an endless shoot-off...

for neutral spectators, these champs are showing so many exciting and really entertaining competitions...almost every day there's at least 1 final to be remembered for the ages, with a lot of drama and turnarounds...

My take on the situation in the world shooting championship

WOOOOOOW - the reason I see that in the last 3 world championships our medals were 2in -2006 , 3in 2010 and 2 in  2014 , so to suddenly to be at 20 is amazing ........

Talent on display

mindboggling

saurabh in the 10m pistals junior shot better then the seniors in the total , he has broken two world junior records and is just 16

manisha keer seems to be a huge talent in an event we are not good at which is womens trap

Mens junior trap team came seond and vivaan  and elahi seem to be world class

hriday hazarika in 10m rifle

panwar and shreya in team 10m junior showed class

elvanil is superb

do note that manu and abhishek and some of the others who are just at the junior level are already shooting at the senior level , so much talent equivalent to at least 20 possible abhinav bindras who was also a child prodigy .................. this depth of talent will lead to a great future ...

    • great week for the  crews!    3 wins, 5 medals, a few good placings and Tita / Banti coming back just as good as they were in the Nacra 17, ending up in 4th place only because of a technical fail on their boat (which led them to abandon a race and to a DNS in the following one, when they were comfortably leading the overall standings )   sailing is slowly becoming one of our strongest Olympic sports
