Silver for Tonči   What a redemption for him, after losing almost safe bronze in London (during medal race), and almost safe gold in Rio (also during medal race).

That's both good and kinda annoying for Berecz, Race 10 was his opportunity to make a play for the gold because Scott finally had a bad one. The gold is a bit closer to him (9 points) than the 4th place (10 points), both are equally plausible, depending on who fucks up the medal race. 

 

So for Berecz to win the gold there has to be 3 boats between them and Berecz has to be ahead, which also means that if Scott finishes in the Top4 on the medal race, he definitely wins the gold.

Top 5 is good enough for Scott as Berecz has to finish five places ahead of him. In your scenario if Berecz won the race he would have 37+2=39 pts and if Scott were 5th he would have 28+10=38 pts.

Looks like no medals for Greece in sailing. Quite disappointing to only win one bronze in this sport the last three Olympics as it is historically one of our best sports :cry:

      For anyone who was involved with buying tickets for Paris 2024, can anyone comment on how LA28's process seems similar or different?  I'm hoping to get tickets so my family and I can go, and I've already found events we'd like to go to (def. won't be medal matches, as I know those will be out of our price range).   Seems like Paris had some sort of 'package' deal you had to do, but I haven't seen anything like that for LA28.   Also, re: the draw system, was it the case that whenever your time slot became available, you had access to any session?  Or were only certain sessions available?  (And, if so, were different sessions available in a later ticket drop?)   Is it the case that preliminary sessions sell out more quickly than medal sessions?  Or vice-versa?   (To anyone interested in going: AirBnBs are able to be reserved up to two years ahead of time, so starting July-August, you should be able to make reservations.)
