Wild day in the 49er FX!

The 2nd race in 49er FX has been crazy.  both capsized, and  rammed into  getting their boats stuck together for a few moments.

Great first race from Berecz, this is what I hoped for.

Perfect start for  in the 49er. 
 

The rest of the days racing have been postponed. Back tomorrow

Another 2nd place for Berecz, almost perfect first day.  Kaynar is the one who had the perfect day, two first places, it won't be easy to beat him if he can consistently perform this well. 

 

In fact, Finn had the exact same Top3 in the first two races, I am guessing this doesn't happen too often.

Exact same thing happened at London 2012.

 

I remember since that regatta ended up as a famous flop for us.

Berecz stays in 2nd place with a 9th and 4th placement today, this obviously won't be as easy as it seemed yesterday. Scott won both races today, he's ready to win that gold again.

Tunisian 49er FX crew DNF'd in Race 1, and then apparently withdrew (DNS across the board).

That black flag for Bouwmeester could cost her a medal. After a bad start she was really on the way back into the medals. Still possible but Olsson and Plasschaert are really looking good!
