How does Surfing as a sport work on TV? Is it easy to watch or a bit of mess as sailing can be.

It’s definitely easier to watch then Sailing. I personally enjoy it. Not one of my favorite sports though.

It’s definitively something you can leave on the background and pay attention to when the waves pick up. There can be pretty long periods of relative inactivity. This is likely to be the case fairly often in Tokyo since the waves aren’t expected to be particularely good.

 

But it’s definitively something that can be enjoyed live.
