As predicted.  Sweden now supports Turkey in the EU.

They supported it before also, so? France and even Germany dont want Turkey in EU

It's the same bunch of politicians anyway. Erdogan just won the elections and he controls the immigrant routes. Last thing EU needs is another immigrant problem in the middle of the war of Ukraine. If Republicans win the next Presidental elections they could pull off the NATO support from Ukraine as "too expensive" for domestic economy. Guess what happens if that proves to be the case?

Judging by the things certain countries seem to do with their money, half the EU doesn't seem to want to be in the EU, so there should be some space within a few years anyway

So what? Sweden can’t give EU membership to Turkey. There are 26 other members to have their say.
