For those unsure of why the US House of Representatives has started the formal impeachment process against US President Donald Trump, here is a brief explanation.

 

Last week multiple news outlets, with the Washington Post supposedly being the first, reported that a “whistleblower” had made a complaint on behalf of US intelligence. (A whistleblower is someone who informs of the government because they see a major, major issue. Edward Snowden is probably the most famous example.) The story continued that the US Department of Justice and the “White House” has stopped the Inspector General from alerting Congress or pursing the matter further. That was pretty much it for the first reports.

 

Well over the last week, more and more information about the complaint has come to light. The biggest issue being centered around two things. 1) Trump asked the Ukrainian President (sorry forgot his name) to dig up dirt on Joe Biden for him, or he’d cut off all US aid to Ukraine. This is obviously a breach of US election law, because again Trump asked an Eastern European government to help him win his election. 2) Trump and his staff then worked to hide the truth before his dumbass lawyer admitted to telling Trump to do it. Every day more and more information comes out about the shady process Trump’s people were doing to try and hide their criminal activity.

 

With all that said, that’s pretty much it. I’ll try to keep explaining the process and give some insights as we go down the road of the process.

Also, the damage Trump would cause with another four years in office would be irreparable - this far outweighs the perceived benefits of your speculation that it gives socialists more power down the road. Impeachment likely won't get him out of office, and so lets hope he just loses next November - and in my opinion, lets hope we can return to a moderate form of governance, I think the extremes on either side of the spectrum will only lead to more chaos. 

America has generally leaned Center-Right over the last few decades. Studies are beginning to show a national shift towards Center-Left. What’s really interesting is my generation and the millennials. My generation has a 45%-60% favorable opinion of socialism or at least democratic socialism. When combined with the millennials, young Americans vote left, and sometimes pretty far-left, on major issues by about 55-70%. American politics could see some interesting changes over the next decade or so. 

 

I love “the squad”, just throwing that out there. They’re all amazing people with amazing stories. I do agree though, that some of they’re policies are questionable. Pelosi will be a goner pretty soon I think. The Democratic Party is moving further left, and old/center speaker won’t do it for us. 

 

If Trump gets another four years the damage won be irreparable, and thus a chance for Calexit. I do really hope we don’t go that route though and that the US stabilizes one the next few years, but that looks less likely by the day...

No damage Trump could do with another four years is irreparable, it would only make it take longer to repair.

It’d take 10-15 years by most estimates, but the environment stuff could really actually do irreparable damage.

Israel sees the other Western democracies having major Constitutional and political issues and says, yes, let’s do that too. I can’t even with that country

With Biden leading the Dems polls it's kinda hilarious you'll be potentially replacing one rich old white guy with another rich old white guy though. The more things change, the more they stay the same  

 

Well, democratic socialism only gets major support in countries which never experienced communism and are rich enough to sustain a huge welfare spending. It works well in Scandinavia given their smallish population but I don't see it working in USA over the long haul. Obamacare would be a bottomless well going forward and something would have to give there for sure.

Biden is starting to slip. Warren is up in multiple states now, including Iowa (obviously important) and California (important during the primaries). In fact she’s up +8% in California on Biden. My state is making itself clear as the “Norway” of the US.

I wouldn't consider Biden rich - he's a career politician. Being old and white is where the comparisons between the two of them end.

Given the California state taxes it's just about right, it's a country within a country IMO.

You name me a life-long politician who is poor? Biden was in Congress for almost 40 years before he became VP, I can only imagine how many 'donations' he accepted under the table over that span. Politics means power and power means money. It's even more glaring in a two-party system like the US where you can only be the minority for so long and your turn to be in charge will always come!
