Shockingly Our President VETOED 2 out of 3 bills giving the reigning party control over supreme courts. :clap: :toast::beer:
PiS politicians liteally locked themselfes in their HQ :lol::hyper:

Missed this, but this is great news! It's always good when the separation of powers is more or less ensured, one party controlling a supreme court has a better place in North Korea.

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

Where you really see the problem on those changes? It's normal that leading party want have full control on some spaces, it's in many countries on whole world and there no one don't hysterical.

Dear rybak,

thank you for being a fan of the political system of the greatest country on Earth. Here no one gets hysterical and everyone is happy ( I used to send some of my people to Poland to enjoy their life and nobody complained http://www.dbknews.com/2017/05/03/north-korea-poland-slave-labor/).

For your support, you have won a holiday to visit my beautiful country...to claim your prize, send an e-mail to kim.itsnormaltohavefullcontrol@great korea.com

It's funny how you can comment only one part of my post, especially when you don't understand what is real problem here in my country :) I'm sure that in all Italian and other West medias journalists shows other side of problem, which is better for them. For example if an for example American newspeaper will write something about concentration camp in Auschwitz and will wrote that it was Polish Concentration camp (not Nazi) you will believe them because journalists wrote such thing?

And if you have an problem we can talk about this via PM.

- if you write something here, you should be aware that people can reply...and this is an off topic general thread so I guess that everything which is not offensive, discriminatory, racist,...is allowed....it's nonsense to say "stop posting about Polish politics";

- I replied to the only part of your comment related to the topic (the bills approved some days ago);

- there is no such thing as homogeneus "Western media"...If you believe that "all Western media lie because it's better for them", then you have fallen to propaganda;

- you contradict yourself: you admitted that "it's normal that the leading party wants to have full control" so "Western media" are not telling bullshit about this;

- as pointed out by others,  you should understand the concept of "separation of powers";

- Auschwitz? Completely unrelated to the matter...it seems to me that you are looking for conspiracies everywhere...

So sad, i really loved this guy, i guess we can already say that Kelly has a negative influence on Trump ...

The intereview with the BBC (2nd to last link) was one of the best interviews i ever saw, especially his explanation as to why Trump isn't an elitist ...

Apparently it's not Kerst but Kersti, too bad. Maybe Sturgeon because she wants Scotland to say goodbye to the UK or Erdogan because he's so ridiculous it's almost comedy if it weren't so sad. The rest seems rather boring :p

    • After four weekends of winter sports, we are slowly entering the middle of the winter season . And, as usual, it's time for statistics that I don't know which theared to put in      After 29 events, 20 different NOCs was already on the podium. After several seasons, Uzbekistan is also back on the podium thanks to figure skating (and two former Russians).   This weekend will be all about ice sports, with a total of 13 events: 4 in figure skating (first stage in Europe) and 9 in short track (second stage in Montreal, since SLC was cancelled)
    • World Boxing approved seven new applications from the National Federations in Andorra, Belgium, Iraq, Lithuania, Madagascar, Kyrgyzstan and Thailand.
    • Out of curiosity, I listened to a few podcasts about Turkmenistan today. This country has very large deposits of natural gas. In the 1990s, a simple a ordinary people lived quite well there. In the early 21st century, Turkmenistan signed several unfavorable gas deals with China and has practically gone bankrupt since then. 1/3 of the population (about 2 million out of 6 million- mostly young people) emigrated, mainly to Turkey, India, etc. The future of this country is blacka and uncertain. I don't know what other options they have? Russia, Turkey, the EU? Of course, in terms of selling gas. Perhaps sanctions of Russia's and isolation due to the war in Ukraine would be a chance for Turkmenistan to establish economic relations with the EU, but the new president would probably have to loosen and a little liberate up his country's domestic politics.
    • A friend of mine who visited 97 countries of the world be in Turkmenistan (with Kunshamara, are the onlyones i know) and he tell me something that never see in another country: his presence was enough to make nervous to all the people, in restaurants, markets, etc, the presence of an "outsider" generate that.
