Sure, but the whole situation of there suddenly being a fuss is on him then, not on the other people who are just going about their daily life.

Of course, i was just giving an example of a possible situation. And here is another one. Why is it not acceptable to walk naked in public? Because it offends people. If there is a naked man (or woman) walking freely in Holland will they arrest him for inappropriate behaviour? He is just minding his own business.

Two men kissing isn't commenly accepted and people get offended by it. The difference is there is no law against it and the cops won't come. They can kiss all they want in public, if they have no problem with the amount of scandals and cursing they would receive.

Because children don't need to be exposed to random people's genitals, which is rather different than two random people simply kissing like (one can assume) any couple does.

As you see - there is no difference if the man is walking naked or a woman - they both would be arrested. So if man can kiss a woman, what's more there is no offence when a woman kisses a woman, then why a man can't kiss another man?

Ancient Olympians weren’t familiar with those principles :p

Things that are socially acceptable change over times. Roman Emperors used to hold public orgies with heavy drinking for days. Not gonna happen anymore. Every orgy with a politician involved will happen behind closed doors. Public urinating into sewers? Neah, off the board (unless you're drunk at 3:00 am and don't give a damn). Slavery. Oh boy, that one hang around for centuries. Can't have that anymore in the so-called civilized world.

Again, goes both ways. Why should children be exposed to behaviour, which is not in our culture and has not been accepted by the majority of the nation?

PS. Should have been in bed already. Damn me for joining the politics thread late at night. :d

You sir, have not seen my parties :p (This is 100% a joke, I’ve never even held hands with a girl/guy, so orgy would be a rather large step)

This whole statement shows that you’ve never been to SoCal :p (except the slavery part. We never endorsed slavery, and we don’t joke about that)

And...Hello Sanders as the democratic nominee :p

People a rather upset about this, and rightly so. Though it’s a political tactic I quite like. It’s just not the time for it.

    • I think the reason is that it's generally preferable to have a fast shooter in the 1st leg, and especially in the prone shooting, where Hofer is quite slow.   Now, I'm not saying I agree with the choice, because I don't. I think it's going to neutralize Giacomel's skiing skills in the 1st lap at least.   I guess the idea is to try and set a very fast pace in the 1st leg, which is usually quite tactical, but I'm afraid that's going to force Giacomel to risk too much because he will feel he has to make some time somehow.   Regardless, Italy must be on the podium tomorrow. I think that would be crucial for the following races as well. I think France is the clear favorite, but the other teams are not stronger than Italy on paper.
