It won’t matter. House will vote down party lines (+ Rep. Amash) to impeach. Senate will vote down party lines to a acquit.

Doesn't make it less interesting. The clearer it is that the current president has been breaking the law, the better it is no matter the result.

People seem to think he’s going to make a surge. I don’t see it personally, but he’s definitely number 5 in order. I forgot to mention Yang in first post too. Yang might still have a fighting chance. He’ll need to stick around until the first primaries, and then do better than expected there.

While other thinks he'll leave soon.

If anybody (and that's a big IF) should be mentioned as a number 5, I believe it'll be Klobuchar.

Yang, no! He does have a base of people who likes him, but it feels unlikely.

My main fear is what will happen with the ones joining late (Bloomberg and Patrick), They won't win, but I really fear that they (especially Bloomberg) will cause trouble when it comes to beating Trump.

Personally I was the kind of person who could end up supporting Bloomberg, but joining at this late stage is stupidity.

Communism was supposed to be about giving power to the people. That's an obvious fraud. Democracy has the monarchy gene stuck to its core and hell, all the names you've mentioned prove it. You can create a mini monarchy to expose how democracy can actually be controlled in authoritarian fashion. Donald Trump might be a jerk but he's pretty honest about himself. He's a member of the lucky sperm club and he's honest enough to say that. There's nothing honest about the Bushes or the Clintons. Nothing! They want to have their family in power, whether state-wide or nation-wide. I'd never vote for these morons.

And Trump has one huge advantage over the rest. He's got enough money to fund his own campaign. Kamala Harris just dropped out of the race because she's got no money. So much for her progressive ideas and all that fancy talk. If you ain't got money and you can't convince people to give you theirs, you're done in the political landscape. Where does the democracy fill in here? The person with the biggest cashbox is supposedly the best candidate or elected President democracy can come up with? Really? Forget how Obama was the new craze, he actually still had to have the biggest funds to become the craze.

So here is your democratic thought of the day: the person with the biggest cashbox still laughs the loudest in the end. All the global Empires or kingdoms have fallen over the centuries and it's still all about the money. Hail to the democracy! :sure:

Once again a rather simplistic analysis.

No doubt money plays a major role and no, you can't really create a strong campaign without big money, but money isn't all. Money can put your message into the world, but if you don't have the message, you won't get anything. We've seen plenty of rich candidates getting no results.

No doubt the massive fund raising job by Gifford and co. gave Obama an advantage, but he didn't get it just due to the money.

Well, he managed to get through to the people who felt forgotten (or even pissed on) by the politicians. That and a politician who did not manage to activate people.

The same as now, some annoying and dumb stuff, some more shitty stuff, but nothing even close to the idiotic 'civil war!!!1!1!' kind of thing people were shouting before Trump got elected.

But a terrible mess to clean up after for the future president. The diplomacy will be in terrible trouble with another 4 years (with a few firm allies as exceptions (though the ambassador to Denmark is terrible). Not to mention environment and climate.

Sure, but much as one president can't make everything good in 4 or 8 years, one president also can't turn everything to shit. Obviously I very much hope Trump doesn't win again, you know, because he's the king of all lying asshats, but one should be careful not to overestimate the consequences it would actually have. The people yelling "OMG civil war if he wins!" are the worst example of that.

Yes, and because of how fucking dumb Americans are that worked.

I agree, but it’s also worth noting the powerful figures with tendencies similar to Trump have done more with a lot less time. I think that another Trump presidency would have the ability to due damage.
